TriplePoint Design Build continued the color scheme for this remodeled home, using taupe and white to its full effect. The bedding and furnishings are simple but stylish to accommodate the homeowners' busy lifestyle. Modern artwork and a tray ceiling with cove lighting help to update and add interest to the room.
The homeowners wanted a multi-functional space that can be used for relaxing and entertaining. Large sliding doors open the living room up to the pavilion for a true indoor/outdoor element. An intimate exterior seating arrangement creates a cozy atmosphere to enjoy the outdoor fireplace. Inside, the veneered media wall offers display shelving while embracing and complementing the existing architecture.
Framed family photos hang behind the couch and leather armchair, creating a gallery wall. A polished nickel floor lamp with a drum shade adds sophistication to the space. The diamond patterned floor pouf serves as a foot rest or stool.

Crisp white wainscoting separates the rich wood floors from the textured brown walls in this transitional dining room, providing a visual break in the chocolate brown hue that fills most of the space. A stylish patterned area rug grounds the dining set, and a sleek chandelier crowns the room.

For the kitchen island, the butcher block surface was deliberately distressed to give a well-worn and less formal appearance. Kitchen Cousins Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri used a grinder with a buffing wheel and some strategically placed strikes with a heavy metal chain to achieve the distressed look.
A custom designed table made from Italian porcelain flooring with a glass tile inlay is flanked by comfortable metal dining chairs with striped blue cushions in this outdoor dining area. The view from the table is expansive and opens up to hillsides covered in eucalyptus and palm trees and a comfortable lounge area with additional seating. The hillside lounge area is framed by two taupe pillars, a brick patio and a brown wood guardrail, emphasizing the neutral color palette of the garden.
Susan Brunstrum designed the master bathroom of this Park City, Utah vacation home to reflect the Mountain Modern theme she used throughout the space. Here, the wood of the door and cabinetry feature a rustic aesthetic, yet she selected a tile and countertop material that elevates her theme.
