Transitional Family Room With Blue Sectional
This custom-made sofa is 13' x 13', so an average-sized coffee table would be too small. Hexagonal end tables were the clever solution; they can be arranged in any number of ways, making them flexible and oh-so-functional. Transitional Eat-In Kitchen With Stylish Breakfast Nook
This light and bright kitchen remodel includes a pairing of oak and painted blue cabinets with a white subway tile backsplash and wide plank hardwood floors. A cozy breakfast nook includes a reclaimed wood table, bench and stool seats, and a geometric metal chandelier. Recessed lighting illuminates the space.
This serene blue master retreat has rustic elements seen in the chandelier, sliding barn door and white-washed hardwood floors. The canopy bed brings a inviting look to this space and is the percent addition with the vaulted ceilings.
This space has a zen blue wall color, Nelson Blue by Benjamin Moore. Its grey, blue and green tones change in different lights and is soft and soothing. The vaulted ceilings allow for a canopy bed and chandelier, without making the space feel confined.
Blue and Pink Transitional Library With Striped Curtains
Blue and pink are a surprisingly grown-up combination in this handsome library, in part because of the room's sophisticated details: a plush Oriental rug, tailored armchairs, a delicate coffee table. Stripes on the curtains are a hint of a jaunty nautical touch.
Turquoise walls add a bold punch of color to this transitional formal living room. A pair of elegant patterned armchairs and matching ottoman provide a cozy sitting area by the fireplace, and a plush daybed brings additional seating to the space.
Midnight blue walls make this dining room feel so elegant and intimate, especially punctuated by golden accents like the starburst chandelier. On the curtains, a small-scale graphic print is a chic surprise.
Designer Debbie Perez took advantage of the vintage fireplace by repositioning the furniture to center around it. By repurposing all the couples existing furniture, adding some new accessories and bringing in a monochromatic color palette, this room now has a cool and relaxing vibe.
Blue Transitional Family Room With Bronze Ceiling Fan
A modern ceiling fan made of bronze and darkly stained wood was chosen to keep the family room cool in the summer. In addition to its practical purposes, the brown coloring of the fan also helps tie together many of the brown tones seen in the room’s furnishings.
"Maximize your living space by creating usable outdoor rooms," says Rhoda Vickers of the Southern Hospitality blog. "With the right combination of outdoor seating, pillows, shade and colorful planters, you can turn any patio into an outdoor oasis."
