Transitional Basement Family Room With Wet Bar
This chic basement family room includes a wet bar, plenty of seating and a wall-mounted fireplace and flatscreen for cozy nights in. The graphic print of the swivel armchairs helps punch up the space visually and is a fun pairing with the textured stone walls.
A closet in this transitional living room opens up to reveal a full home office in this design by Kristi Nelson. A built-in wooden desk and shelving provides plenty of storage and work space that can easily be hidden by closing the closet doors.
Transitional Laundry Room is Stylish and Functional
Sunburst wallpaper adds visual interest and a metallic quality to this transitional laundry room. Floating shelves keep laundry essentials handy and provide stylish organization, and the washer and dryer are placed on pedestal drawers for easy access and extra storage.
Roomy Laundry Space Offers Storage For Cleaning Supplies
Designer Annie Lowengart reconfigured this laundry room to create storage for laundry and cleaning supplies. Galbraith & Paul's "Lotus" wallpaper adds personality to the space, making laundry time feel like less of a chore.
This quaint butler's pantry holds all the accessories needed to host a party, including glass dispensers, pastry stands and small plates. There's even a coffee maker to prepare your morning or afternoon coffee.
This mudroom needed to be expansive enough to accommodate a family of six so the designers included tons of cubbies, a large closet, powder room and even a sink! Rug: Oscar Isberian; Pillow: Jayson Home
Laundry Room With Green Walls, White Cabinets and Storage Bench
Laundry is such a bore -- why not cheer up your washing space with a splash of vibrant color? The green against the white cabinets creates an extra air of clean. A nearby storage bench doubles as a place to fold fresh clothes and linens.
Inspired by Art Deco design, this transitional dressing room uses a textured ceiling and towering armoires to create vertical height and symmetrical balance. In the center of the space, the Parisian makeup table serves as a sophisticated focal point.
A small coat closet was torn out and revamped into this refrigerated wine cellar, complete with porcelain tiled surfaces that resemble wood texture and a chrome cable system that's suspended via bolts in the ceiling and floor. The 8-foot-tall entrance is outfitted with a commercial-grade glass door and chrome frame reminiscent of what's used for hotel elevators.
Featuring gold and ivory tones, this stunning walk-in closet is at once sophisticated and boldly feminine. Three frames stacked on top of one another create visual interest and height, while rows of shelves offer plenty of storage for the lady's shoes and handbags. A detailed, Asian-inspired light adds an eclectic touch to the design.
Double doors open to the wine cellar, where stone walls keep the owners' collection at the perfect temperature. A chic chandelier not only brightens the space, but also draws attention to the arch of the ceiling.
