White, Contemporary Laundry Room with Patterned Floor
Ample cabinet and countertop space provide maximum function in this clean-lined contemporary laundry room, while patterned tile adds interest underfoot. A large picture window brings in loads of natural light.
Natural light floods this cheery laundry room. Seaglass blue cabinets and matching pendant lights are happy and refreshing. A sink and counterspace are always appreciated in the laundry area and this room has plenty. Rolling carts, hanging space for drying, lower storage for laundry bins that go to each room (so they aren’t crowding the floor!) and a massive upper cabinet for linen storage are thoughtful touches that will certainly make laundry less of a chore.
This laundry room gets the job done, featuring 2 pairs of machines, room for rolling carts, hanging space for drying, lower storage for laundry bins that go to each room (so they aren’t crowding the floor!) and a massive upper cabinet for linen storage.
This mudroom features a simple locker design that has space for everyone. Tile floors can take the abuse from kids, pets and wet shoes. White shiplap is adorable with the traditional coat hooks. The blue pendant light is a charming touch of color.
White Contemporary Mudroom With Built-In Upholstered Bench
Designer Justine Sterling transformed a low ceiling basement space in a 1920s Colonial with a primary focus to create a studio for the two little budding artists in the family. Besides creating a place for the kids, the basement space could solve some of family’s increasing need for a place to store shoes and coats by creating a mud room niche, a small laundry area and even an upgrade to the teeny powder room. A mix of high and low materials adds personalization and keeps the space from feeling cheap.
Believe it or not, this is not an upscale boutique -- it's a master closet. This white contemporary walk-in closet features tons of space in which to prep for the day, with storage galore and store-worthy displays showcasing wardrobe staples like handbags.
Gray and White Contemporary Mudroom With Floral Wallpaper
This contemporary mudroom proves that even small spaces can pack a major design punch. A large floral patterned wallpaper combined with a bright yellow painting livens up the walls while built-in shelving instantly clears up clutter.
Fun black and white floor tiles and modern art add spunk to this functional mudroom. The space was added as a spot for the family to store its coats, shoes and backpacks. Pops of bright yellow in the art and lighting stand out against the white walls, trim and ceiling. The window is a reproduction based on an original window design seen elsewhere in the Victorian home.
