Custom-Painted Art Turns Kitchen Into Non-Traditional Showpiece
The kitchen appliances disappear into this custom art wall, which adds vibrant color and energy to the non-traditional kitchen. The wall is clad in reclaimed barn wood, and artist Rob Stenberg painted the design on the panels. Touch-latch cabinetry keeps the wall looking more like an art installation than kitchen cabinetry. A custom hemlock block island looks time worn and was fabricated by the homeowner.
Southwestern Kitchen Features Custom Glass Details
In the kitchen, steel and glass upper cabinets disappear into an interior window, which allows as much light as possible into the kitchen and provide a spot to display art and dishes. Custom hardware adorns the lower cabinets and showcase a logo created just for the homeowners. Quarter-inch strips of glass were fused together to create the floating upper island top and are supported by steel hidden within the cabinets.
There are good times to be had on this round patio.The outdoor dining and lounge area allows guests a space to enjoy the outdoors. Made of flagstone, it features lounge chairs, floor lamps, a stand-alone antique stove and a table with umbrella shade.
Mexican Restaurant with Red Ceiling, Striped Accent Wall and Antique Knickknacks
Here's the festive interior dining area of a restaurant called Broken Spanish Taqueria. Individual Mexican cushions for the seating were hand selected in Tijuana. A knickknack shelf is adorned with items from chef's home for a personal living-room feel. Antique "molinillos" hang from the ceiling.
A deep red accent wall contrasts against the warm yellow walls and ceiling in this southwestern-inspired master bedroom. Floral sheers dress the windows, where an upholstered bench sits underneath for a cozy reading spot. Traditional furniture in deep woods brings classic style to the space.
