This transitional dining nook in Nantucket's 21 Broad Hotel carries the same white-on-white palette as the rest of the space, creating a light, bright ambiance. Smartly chosen accents add pops of color, like the upholstered armchair and the coffee table accents.

Warm lighting creates an inviting feel in this dining space. Shelf lighting illuminates the glass bottle wall drawing the attention in the room to the organized rows of green, brown and clear glass. Wood tables and chairs with wicker seat cushions line the floor below rows of recessed lighting and a spotted ceiling.
A pre-existing bench that was reupholstered with a shimmering black fabric with coordinating cording was used as a comfortable sitting area in this boutique. The pillow fabric was also used as a wallpaper application in the dressing room and behind the cashier counter.

Industrial Restaurant Boasts Historic Character and Contemporary Elements
The craftsmanship of the historic 1906 building, once a horse stable and now brought back to life, is the foundation for the restaurant's design. The entire design team was passionate about showcasing the building's true quality and marrying it to a restaurant with the same standard for excellence. The design palette is restrained to ensure the natural bones of the space are truly showcased above all. A simple, natural palette of whites, wood and accented textures creates understated interest and elevates the original character and materials.
It was important for this boutique to have an inviting and fun experience for shoppers, so a decorative settee was incorporated so guests could be comfortable while shopping. All the molding was added on to give a feminine and Parisian look in a subtle and simple way.
The bookstore and cafe are divided by a wide front-to-back hallway, keeping the spaces distinct but cohesive. The high ceiling, skylights and playful mobile draw your eyes around the space. The clean white backdrop complements the salvaged elements in the design.
