Sunny Winery Home With Wrap Around Porch, Large Driveway and Mixed Textures
This beautiful home features a modern look with the warm colors of wood and stone exterior walls. A large wrap around porch provides ample space to enjoy the sunshine while creating a shaded area in front of the garage. The stone walls of the foundation are a great textural contrast to the smooth walls of the upper levels.
An ipe wood deck wraps around the modern home, providing plenty of space for outdoor entertaining. If the weather isn't cooperating, move the party indoors, where oversized windows offer uninterrupted views of the scenery.
Entry to this modern home is through the front garage door, which is made out of the same untreated cedar used for the siding. Concrete frames the garage door surrounded by a halo of light that glows in the evening hours.
Modern Home Exterior With Full Glass Wall & Covered Patio
A wall of windows provides a peek into this home's living room from the backyard. The mix of exterior textures and colors forms a clean, modern look. The roof stretches out beyond the wall of windows to create a covered patio with concrete flooring.
For the Daniels Lane Residence, the client expressed a desire for a natural landscape. The vision of LaGuardia Design Group was to create a place where the home was organically integrated into the landscape. Using native plants that followed the color and texture of the home as well as the movement of the ocean, the design seamlessly came together. Cape American Beach Grass and Red Fescue were used, which both move fluidly in the wind bringing water-like elements to the dry land.
This modern home with a view features a sleek pool built into a clean-lined wood deck with interesting angles. A wire rail system surrounds the elevated deck, offering safety without obstructing the view.
At the end of a long private drive atop a hill sits this beautiful modern home surrounded by 1.4 park-like acres. The grounds complement the trees and plantings in an urban country park setting. Compositionally, the white geometric box is the anchor for the three new cedar additions.
With its modern glass front door, low pitch roof and vertical siding, the exterior of this home sets the perfect tone for its modern-meets-whimsical interior. Pale stone blends with the surrounding terrain, and native plants create a low-maintenance front yard.
Glass walls connect this sinuous, modern home to the crisp, undulating courtyards that surround it. Both inside and out, surfaces are white and sleek, creating continuity and giving the space a clean design that treads lightly on the natural landscape. The house is designed by architect Milan Jacopo Mascheroni.
This property started out as two separate lots. The new owners decided to build two separate structures on the large piece of land: a main residence and a guest house with shared outdoor space in between. Both buildings have an indoor outdoor feel, with oversized sliding doors instantly connecting rooms to patios and balconies.
Modern Home With Glass Wall and Covered Concrete Patio
Glass walls provide a look inside this lovely modern home and all the way through to the front yard. The ceiling extends outside to create a covered patio area with a concrete floor set in a natural rock bed. A cement outdoor fire pit is simple and functional.
Andrea Michaelson had a strong, contrasting vision for this California home as she blended not only design styles but design eras. The exterior of home is modern and minimal, using both cement brick and cement plaster walls, and limestone for a pronounced look against the lush landscape
Stone and glass blend on the facade of this modern home, which connects to its rugged, secluded site through its generous use of natural and organic materials, as well as broad expanses of glass that open the interiors to sweeping views. A stone fence creates a sinuous line that draws the eye to the clean, modern structure.
