Lakefront Home's Patio Entertainment Space
On the lake side of this newly renovated home, designers incorporated a patio into the home's entertainment space. The large back patio space includes a dining table with an umbrella, making the space usable even on sunny and drizzly days, as well as a lounge area with a view of the lake. Leading off from the patio, a landscaped walkway gives the homeowners safe passage to the lake below.
Rising gracefully up from the hillside, the two-story house includes four bedrooms, four bathrooms and two partial baths. Balconies wrap around the buildings offering up plentiful outdoor entertaining spaces and gorgeous lakefront views.
The blue-gray color lends a little fresh twist to this typical colonial architecture. Like all colonial styles, Georgian focuses on strict symmetry. It is typically a box shape and adorned with shuttered windows. The style also features a paneled front door below a decorative crown, which is usually framed by simple, sometimes flattened, columns.
Small details, like the silver-leaf designs that make different areas of house glimmer as the sun crosses the sky, added up to return the run-down Victorian to its former glory. To help the crumbling foundation, pressure-treated wood and concrete were used to reinforce the weak areas on Curb Appeal.
Captivating Blue Farmhouse With White Trim & Gray Shingle Roof
The lovely blue color of this farmhouse style home shines in the sunshine. Surrounding trees and a grassy front yard frame the house in bright shades of green. White trim and a gray roof cap off the stylish and inviting home.
Contemporary Farmhouse Exterior With Covered Front Porch
A metal gable porch roof with exposed beams keeps with the country farmhouse style of the exterior. Red Tolix chairs, a glowing, barn-style pendant light, and pots overflowing with vibrant green plants create an inviting entrance.
This home's owners are obsessed with color and wanted bright color on every inch of the home's exterior. Various shades of blue connect the house, sited on the ridge of a hill, to the the sky that serve as its backdrop. The complementary orange creates a dynamic contrast. Because the house sits in a special zoning area, the design team could not increase the square footage of the existing house. Instead, they built a separate structure and connected it to the old house with a structurally independent deck.
