Fun details bring some personality and vibrancy to the outdoor space. A colorful pom pom garland is simply strung across a vintage easel and paired with a large succulent plant. On chilly nights you can hang cozy blankets on the rungs of the easel to switch up the look even more.
The raised beds were used to solve drainage problems the lot had. Stone walls allowed for screen plantings along the fence and have room to plant seasonal color in front of them to add some appeal to them. Drought-Tolerant Shrubs and Artwork Fill Otherwise Blank Corners
When she first visited the site of the San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2015, landscape designer Katharine Webster noted blank, rectangular spaces in the entry leading to the home's front door. With voices of her Harvard professors in her head saying, "don't make corners for squirrels to die in," Webster filled the blank spaces with artwork and drought-tolerant shrubs.

Throw pillows add pops of accent color in red, purple and pink, while the pair of metallic tables adds a touch of glam to the design.
Off the back of the house is a relaxing, welcoming patio area. A group of comfortable wicker chairs is the perfect spot to enjoy the contemporary backyard and pool. An umbrella adds shade over the outdoor dining area.
A bright, boldly patterned rug mixes with other colorful textiles to anchor the dining area of this eclectic courtyard. A large-scale, two-toned globe pendant hangs above to light up the space. The patio’s wood structure is lined with mesh screening that filters light and provides privacy.
