Native American Inspired Art in Eco Friendly Yard
In the design of this home's yard, designers installed a statue inspired by Native American artwork, helping to connect the home to the culture of the land. Highlighting the statue are a few indigenous, flowering plants, adding color to the space, but not requiring much water, keeping the yard sustainable and eco friendly.
New Modern Backyard with Defined Entertainment Spaces
Originally, this historic home's backyard contained a swimming pool that was damaged beyond repair, so after filling in the pool, homeowners wanted a fresh, new look. Designers helped the homeowners come up with a color concept, and began work on their New Modern design by defining entertainment spaces. In one corner, a custom barbecue pit with a concrete island makes the space perfect for grilling. In another, an intimate conversation corner welcomes guests. A putting green is the focal point of the space, but the central living space is this elegant sitting area created from sustainable furniture that matches the couple's eco-friendly lifestyle.
To keep the pool separate fro the walkway to the Zen Garden, designers added a simple, modern fence that runs halfway around the pool. The fence helps keep the space safe for kids, but doesn't obstruct the beautiful view from the pool.
A stacked stone water fountain is the focal point in this backyard garden. Below, large pavers surround a small pond leading to an elevated terrace. The multi-level yard allows for fun and intriguing travel through the lush landscaping.
With an outdoor kitchen, bar and grill, this modern backyard is ready for hosting a crowd. Sliding glass doors encourage cool breezes to filter inside, while plush sofas and chairs keep guests comfortable.
Home with a Pool, Lawn and Shrubs overlooking a City
The view from this home's backyard can't be beat. From the city in the distance to the perfectly manicured lawn and shrubs to the beautifully lit pool, it's a perfect spot for enjoying the beauty in life. Modern lounge chairs arranged symmetrically add to the grandeur of the area.
The landscaping surrounding this Southwestern style home is low-maintenance and low-water, with beds of tan gravel contrasting sharply with bright green plants and trees. Slim channels funnel water in and around the yard.
Tucked into the hillside and encircled by trees, this outdoor space by designer Elizabeth Przygoda-Montgomery seems like something out of a dream. Here, visitors can take a lap in the infinity-edge pool, stretch out on either of the lounges, or cozy up by the fire pit and enjoy views of the desert at sunset.
A modern chair and southwestern throw invite guests to make themselves at home by the pool. Large cacti and succulents layer the landscape, adding greenery and interest to this enchanting outdoor space.
A sleek swimming pool spans across the backyard, ensuring that the owners and their guests have plenty of room to float or take a few laps. As for the hot pink water wall? Well, that just adds to the space's charm.
