Bright Transitional Bar With Quartz Waterfall Countertop
Moroccan details mix with transitional elements, creating a modern-Mediterranean style bar that's bright and airy. A navy blue quartz countertop anchors the all-white space. Glass pedant lights and a stone accent wall help define the space from the living room.
The goals for the playroom design? Practicality, lots of comfy seating, clutter control and flexibility (the owners wanted a room that could be adapted as kids get bigger). A cozy built-in bench handily solved two of the needs, upholstered in performance fabrics for better durability and easy cleaning.
Bright White Staircase Features Cream-Colored Runner, Coastal Art
Wanting these stairs to look as bright as possible, the designers painted the walls white to catch the natural light from the windows. Meanwhile, a tall houseplant stretches from floor to ceiling and draws the eye up to a painting of the ocean -- the latter of which is totally fitting for a home in Montecito, Calif.
Stylish Foyer With White Acrylic Console Table and Funky Wallpaper
This light and bright entry features a white acrylic and metal console table positioned in front of a wall covered in blue and gray patterned wallpaper. A metal Sputnik chandelier hangs above, while blue vases and white table lamps sit atop the console. A graphic print lends a finishing touch.
Tropical pillows pop against the soothing gray and white tones in this historic bungalow's lounge. The black and white zebra rug adds an exotic touch, while matching chaise lounge chairs invite relaxation.
Light and Bright Transitional Foyer With Staircase
This powder blue foyer features traditional wainscoting paired with a blend of hardwood floors and gray-blue floor tiles. A white table lamp and green vase of flowers sit atop a dresser that serves as a console table, while a chandelier illuminates the stained glass window. A staircase leads the way to the upstairs area.
The corner of the dining room was outfitted with custom cabinetry and a spot for entertaining. In addition to the concealed wine rack, the wet bar boasts a fully-integrated dishwasher and garbage disposal.
Transitional Foyer Features French Doors to Private Terrace
On the other side of the foyer, French doors open to the private terrace -- which is actually just one of several outdoor spaces included in this expansive property. When the weather's nice, the owners can prop open the doors and enjoy fresh air in the comfort of their home.
Home's Entry With Orb Crystal Chandelier & Inlaid Hardwood Floor
The entryway opens up to the living room on one side and the dining area on the other. The intricate front door is influenced by the home's Mediterranean design, and an orb crystal chandelier dangles above the inlaid gray hardwood floor with a herringbone design.
Stepping inside this San Diego home reveals crisp white walls and soothing blue accents. A wood bench decorated with pillows sits just below the stairs and gives visitors a comfortable place to wait on the owners.
Soft grays and metallic accents create a cozy yet refined atmosphere in this upscale bonus room. Natural light and breathtaking views from the walls of glass lead to the expansive feel and airiness of the space.
Designer Jeff Troyer moved the front door from the living room to this central area, allowing the space to function as a sitting room, music room and foyer for the family. A brown L-shaped sofa is tucked into one corner of the room, while a set of three nesting tables is positioned on top of a gray area rug.
The front entrance is utilized daily by the family, so storage for shoes, coats and bags was a must-have. A wall of built-in cabinets, designed to match the cabinets in the adjacent kitchen and dining room, provides ample storage for this family of four plus their guests.
