Black and White Contemporary Playroom With Bookshelves
This sophisticated play room is one that the children in the family will love for years to come given its flexible (and so chic!) black and white palette and open layout. Thin wall shelves let favorite children's books become colorful decor.
As seen on HGTV's hit show Cousins on Call, where large bare wooden shelves use to be in an unfinished basement, John and Anthony have now placed basketball court that holds the new basketball arcade game for the Tarabokia boys who are big fans of the sport.
Boy's Red and White LEGO-Themed Playroom With Play Table
This boy's red and white playroom was designed to match his love of LEGO bricks. It includes a red and white striped area rug with matching cornice, a white window seat with cabinet storage, a clear acrylic play table and a creative bundle hanglamp pendant light.
Masterpiece Design Group designed a multi-functional wall for this playroom, for displaying games, toys and supplies. In addition, a simple table was designed to provide a place for creating art or eating snacks. Rolled white craft paper stationed on a dowel allows for easy cleanup.
Kids' Play Area With Colorful Decor and Storage Units
This play area displays and stores a lot of toys while still making sure to leave floor space open for walking. Pale yellow walls and neutral carpet set a calm backdrop, and the toys provide vivid additions of color. A play table allows for storage underneath, and a green shelving unit lines up loose items. Fun, kid-themed art decorates the upper section of the walls.
Cheerful Modern Playroom With Multicolored Floral Accents
This colorful playroom features multiple floral accents, including a red, orange and white upholstered sofa with coordinating throw pillows. White and yellow cube shelves offer a spot for storing kids' play things, while a white faux fur rug sits atop the neutral carpet.
With a dad that plays professional baseball, it's no wonder the kids love it too. This fun, rustic playroom has plenty of floor space for playing, table space for creating and storage space for hiding toys.
Transitional Playroom Features Glass Bookshelves & Theater Seats
Classic red theater seats add vintage flair to the playroom. A plush, white rug covers the floor space for extra comfort and coziness when coloring, reading or watching a movie. A long, narrow nook in the wall provides the perfect place for glass bookshelves, and a small built-in table underneath the TV inspires the young artists to create their next masterpiece.
What looks like a large living area is actually a playroom for the kids — but, obviously, one the parents can enjoy as well. Multiple colors create an area that feels inspirational and creative, perfect for drawing, playing games or doing puzzles together. A lengthy sectional sofa provides ample space for a family to curl up in front of a favorite movie.
Laminate flooring creates the look of real, reclaimed wood on the clubhouse. Orange shutters and a miniature door inject a vibrant pop of color into this space. Patterned carpet brings a funky touch to the playroom while also being softer and safer for little ones.
The homeowner loves art and has an extensive art collection, some of which inspired the designer's choice of color in this space. To complete the color story, designer Caroline Kopp personally painted two Mark Rothko-inspired paintings to hang on the display shelves, creating a graphic backdrop to the colorful space.
Bookcase With Colorful Reading Pods Keeps Playroom Organized
A huge shelving unit spans the length of the wall, with different cubbies to keep books and toys organized. Bright orange and blue pods are built into the design, too, so that the kiddos can read in comfort.
