This playroom exudes personality — from the initials on the wall to the deer art and graphic rug. School locker-inspired cabinets provide a great storage space for toys and supplies and also serve as a place to display art, candles and a lamp. The fireplace and wicker chair add a homey feel to the room.
Tyler custom-ordered the ladder through the contractor, Frawley Construction, as a clever way to access the upper bunk. The wood and brass details of the ladder add to the classic aesthetic of the space. The door is painted in high-gloss Benjamin Moore Hale Navy, and it leads to a small storage area under the eaves.

The homeowner loves art and has an extensive art collection, some of which inspired the designer's choice of color in this space. To complete the color story, designer Caroline Kopp personally painted two Mark Rothko-inspired paintings to hang on the display shelves, creating a graphic backdrop to the colorful space.
