Vivid colors, fanciful patterns and rustic details define this 6,000-square-foot mountain ski home in Park City, Utah. Bright, saturated fabrics and bold patterns mingle with metal finishes and woods to create a dramatic yet rustic tone. The design team seamlessly blended the client’s love of pattern and color with the ruggedness of the Park City landscape.
A super long island is the key to fitting a quantity of people into this kitchen. Loads of space is available for eight durable Tolix stools in a navy blue accent. A pantry tucked just round the corner keeps this kitchen clean and neat.
Black and gold combine to create a sleek profile in this streamlined, modern kitchen. A mix of dark and light cabinetry is unified by dark countertops and an eye-catching backsplash that brings the mix of hues together. Three clean-lined pendants light the island, while a trio of modern upholstered barstools provide seating that allows guests to interact with the cook. An integrated refrigerator features modern brass pulls that match the rest of the hardware and fixtures.
Throughout this home, designers aimed for a look that was farmhouse friendly, but more polished than rustic. The open plan kitchen uses shades of blue to contrast the white and wood elements: navy barstools and a custom gray-blue for the pendants.
This combined kitchen, living space and dining room are perfectly coordinated in this coastal design theme.
Subtle periwinkles, blues and seaglass tones dominate the space, even repeating the seaglass color on the island lighting, which was painted to match the color palette in the space and bring in a pop of color in the island area. Warm, toasty white oak shiplap was chosen to balance the practical floor tile that would take all the abuse from kid traffic.
In an effort to create a space that feels maximum open and easy, designers opted not to hang pendants over the island. Lighting comes instead from sconces and sightlines continue all the way out the windows and glass door.
Stainless Oven, Range Hood Increase Kitchen's Functionality

Tall pantry storage, a kitchen island and an appliance garage are all additions, hiding clutter and upping the kitchen's efficiency. New white oak paneling eases transitions between the older parts of the home and the new.
