Despite the facade's strong linear elements, the home sits on a steeply sloping lot. The only flat area was allocated to the carport. The floor plan was laid out in response to the natural features of the property and its orientation.
Muted walls with vibrant orange accents and geometric patterns make the kids’ bedroom not only fun but sophisticated and ideal for all ages. “I think it has universal appeal because it is very cute and childlike in a boy’s room, but I think this also works well as a guest room for adults,” says interior designer Linda Woodrum.
Cheerful Nursery With Two-Tone Walls and Floor-to-Ceiling Bookshelves
This colorful nursery features teal two-tone walls, hardwood floors and a daybed that pulls out into a trundle bed. Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves neatly display books, while a modern dresser provides storage. A vibrant yellow floor lamp adds a pop of sunny color.
The subtle shifting in the square mirrors adds dimension and texture to what is typically a flat surface. The mirror has been hung on a green wall and positioned behind a wood table on which are two yellow lamps, a small silver bucket with pink orchids and a small green tray of knickknacks.
Guests will clamor for a dinner party invitation in this gorgeous dining room, papered in beautiful green wallpaper featuring birds and flowering trees. Bright yellow chairs pick up the yellow roses on the walls creating a cohesive, visually striking design.
