Elegant Midcentury Modern Dining Room
This elegant, Midcentury Modern dining room flawlessly blends textures, patterns and materials to create a perfect execution of the Midcentury style. The clean lines of the modern table, buffet and chairs are softened by the velour fabric that covers the dining chairs, while the roughness of the wicker rope rug and planter adds texture to the space. These elements combine to give this space an elegant, Midcentury Modern look.
This green living room includes a leather chair that has a weathered look, giving the space a rustic vibe. The green paneled walls, paired with midcentury modern furnishings, give this space a rustic yet modern feel.
As seen on Meg's Great Rooms, this midcentury modern green living room is accented by hardwood features including a staircase, landing and room divider. A neutral couch and rug keep the focus on the beautiful woodwork, and colorful throw pillows and personalized dog artwork give the space an air of whimsy.
The living room style of this penthouse strikes a perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The light blue sofa brings in the sky (spotted overhead through the large skylight). The fireplace features custom-designed doors.
Cozy Bedroom Wows With Teal Accent Wall & Headboard
Stunning, attractive teal and gold patterned wallpaper acts as the focal point for this creative, comfy bedroom. A bold headboard with shimmering, peacock-like upholstery works in tandem with the retro shapes of midcentury-modern glass lamps. The teal motif is carried throughout the room in plush pillows and a cozy throw.
Midcentury Modern Master Bedroom with New Modern Furniture and Persian Rug
Expansive windows in this space add plenty of warm, natural light, making the space inviting. However, these windows didn't always make the space cozy, so designers added new silk drapes to block morning sun. New wood furniture was added to the space, the clean lines giving this master bedroom a modern feel, which was softened by the addition of new bedding and a Persian rug. The ceiling was painted green to give the space depth, while modern art was added to give personality to this mater bedroom.
Bedroom Offers 1970s Vibe With Dark Walls and Plush, Cream-Colored Fabrics
Designer Will Wick sought to create a cozy, '70s-style retreat that balances masculine and feminine and modern and vintage in the master bedroom at the San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2015. Wick selected a deep, hunter green for the walls and balanced the shade with lush, cream tones in the headboard, bedding, carpet and drapery. Plush carpet and a sofa covered with faux chinchilla fur add to the retreat vibe.
Blue and Green Mid Century Master Bedroom with New Drapes and Funky Accents
The windows in this Midcentury Modern bedroom added beautiful view, but weren't very cozy, so designers added new, traverse, raw silk drapery to provide privacy as well as protection from the morning sun. To give the space personality and add texture and depth, new bedding and furniture was added to the space, and funky accents, such as the antique Tabriz rug and the modern art statue, tie the space together.
