Mediterranean Kitchen With Range
The kitchen allows for everything an aspiring chef may need in stripped down yet elegant Mediterranean style. Wide countertops wrap around the perimeter walls providing plenty of prep space and the range features a charming Mexican tile backsplash.
Large windows with dark wood trim continue the Old World feel into the dining room. Because the walls and floors are so much lighter, the wood adds dimension to the space and draws the eye in towards the antique table.
In three compact floors, this cute beach house in Surfside, Calif., packs in everything you need for a posh getaway: three bedrooms, three bathrooms, patios directly on the beach and amazing ocean views.
The two-tiered marble island in this Italian kitchen has baskets for vegetables and spices, a sink and plenty of room for food prep. Bricked archways painted with Italian frescoes create a grand passage from living room to kitchen. Among the frescoes are handpicked yellow and blue tiles that create a unique patchwork backsplash throughout the space.
This powder room is inspired by Mediterranean design, with colorful walls, a terra cotta pedestal sink and a wrought iron pendant light and hand towel holder. The beautiful bold colors make the room feel fresh and vibrant.
Yellow Mediterranean Chef's Kitchen With Chandelier
The chef's kitchen would be right at home in an Italian villa with its gently arched, stone-lined ceiling, stone-enclosed cooktop and hood and beautiful wood cabinetry. Here, too, large open arched doorways make the flow between this space and adjacent areas conveniently easy.
The dining room by Shelly Riehl David uses bold colors to create a vibrant dining space. Custom draperies on iron medallions were paired with an enameled walnut credenza, glided buffet lamps and mahogany dining table. Silk upholstered side chairs were grouped with button-tufted head chairs and showcased on travertine tiles gridlocked by narrow black granite stripes. An elegant centerpiece and simple accessories accentuate the timeless elegance of this room.
The golden stucco exterior of this Tuscan-style home provides a rich backdrop for an outdoor bar and eating area with an attached pergola. Luscious climbing greenery further blurs the lines between indoors and out, providing a natural, romantic outdoor space. Design by Joan Grabel.
Bright yellow walls, an arched mirror, daybed with striped bedding and decorative pillows, terra cotta tile floor, colorful artwork and rustic side table add to this outdoor bedroom's Mexican-influenced accents.
Spacious Mediterranean Master Bathroom With Domed Ceiling and Chandelier
This spacious Mediterranean master bathroom from Debra Kay George Interiors features a frescoed recessed dome ceiling above a large tiled bath, along with an antique conversation seat and a large arched vanity mirror.
Stone pavers nestled in grass outline the swimming pool. Landscaping dense with tropical plants offers privacy and a relaxing atmosphere. Pops of yellow and blue bring vibrancy and color to the pool deck.
