Mediterranean Living Space Blends Indoors and Out
Sliding doors and flowing curtains open up the interior living spaces to the elegant gardens and views of Lake Lugano. Classic architecture from the columns and tray ceilings to the archways and built-in shelves set the tone for this Mediterranean home design. A trio of navy sofas paired with a traditional rug centers the living room.
A small, aqua-colored swimming pool is situated next to a compact patio with two chairs, creating an intimate space for swimming or relaxing. Three subtle waterfalls offer subdued sounds of relaxation.
A blue accent wall in this dining room provides a sharp contrast to the white walls and exposed wood ceiling beams. A square dining room table is flanked by eight chairs, while five glass pendants hang above.
Many of the elements seen throughout the home were imported directly from Morocco. Here, stunning blue-and-white tiles create an elegant backsplash in this bathroom, combining well with the lacy sconces and delicately arched window.
The navy blue waterfall edge countertop frames the beautiful blue-and-white hand-stamped tile on the bar. Wooden barstools with nailhead details have a modern Moroccan look that enhances the Mediterranean-inspired style of this bar area. A stone accent wall adds texture and interest to break-up the all-white walls and ceilings.
