White Traditional Living Room With Pink Stools
This living room gave designers plenty to work with with its beautiful windows, high ceilings and lake views. To freshen up the space, hardwood floors were refinished and the room given new moldings and paint.
Blue Wallpapered Dining Room With Gold Drapery and Wood Furnishings
Even when you are a true traditionalist with very stately antiques you can still infuse an element of fun and surprise in a room. This formal dining room furniture is energized by the blue, silhouette-patterned wallpaper.
This dramatic dining room is visible from the bright, airy and open kitchen, which makes the deep color on its walls pop. A traditional table pairs with two styles of dining chairs for added interest. A glass chandelier is elegant and fits with the period of the architecture.
Pick up a book or play us a tune in this cozy nook, part of this home's library. Floor to ceiling bookshelves give lots of storage space and a beloved armchair and lamp make for a perfect quiet retreat.
Exemplifying nautical style, the broad living room is adorned with traditional oil paintings of seaward ships. Tranquil shades of blue are evidenced throughout—from the relaxed furniture to the faux-painted walls.
Living Room With Wall-Length Wood Entertainment Center
One wall in this living room is lined with a mahogany-stained entertainment center that features a large television. Display cases filled with knick knacks, bottles of liquor and statues are accented with cabinet display lighting for a decorative touch in the room.
In this formal dining room, the walls (in Sherwin Williams Salty Dog) and ceiling (with Thibaut navy blue and white Cochin wallpaper) were dark. So for a lighter touch, designers used a whitewashed chandelier by Currey and a cerused oak dining table from Theodore Alexander.
