Rustic Inviting Design in Sitting Room
As seen on HGTV's Elbow Room, Chip and his design team continue the rustic feel throughout the sitting room. Incorporating natural elements such as the wood furnishings and the wood above the mantel, as well as the beautiful wood farmhouse door and refinished wood floors help the bring out the look. Details such as a stylish deer head and plush throw pillows pull the space together. The large windows above the couch bring in natural light and make the whole space glow.
Big picture windows and an open-concept design give this cozy reading nook a clear view of the poolside patio. The beamed ceiling gives the space a rustic, homey feel, while its soaring height keeps the home feeling roomy and open.
The master bedroom suite includes a comfortable sitting area warmed by a gas fireplace, a spa bath, a sauna and his and her bathrooms. The space features tastefully rustic elements like a stone accent wall and beautiful hardwood floors.
Side chairs in a handsome gray plaid transform this reclaimed wood console table into a bar or table space at a moment’s notice. Vintage style lamps in blue pick up the cool tones found throughout the room while plush blue throws add warmth to the seating area.
Wood sheathes the walls and floors of this rustic sitting area and library, while wood beams criss-cross the ceiling, mimicking the wattle-and-daub lines of classic Tudor construction. Bright fabrics and warm lighting give life to the space, and a bay window brings in natural light.
Warm neutrals, soft light and a plush gray sofa create a relaxed feel in this master bedroom sitting area. A rustic wood coffee table and hanging lantern, plus artwork with a romantic quote makes this space the perfect spot to curl up after a long day.
As seen on Rocky Mountain Reno, the couple's new living room contains a seating area for them to enjoy. With two overstuffed leather chairs placed directly underneath a window, plenty of natural light enters the seating area. The natural elements of the space-the wood walls and table and the leather chairs-bring a rustic feel to the space, while the metal lamp helps incorporate the modern. Trista brings in the natural blue from the kitchen by adding a Roman shade on the window.
The Williams family asked Chip of HGTV's Elbow Room to design them a family friendly, functional kitchen. Chip included a ton of seating for this family to entertain, a study area for the kids to do their homework, as well as a beautiful muted brick fireplace. The natural elements in the room, such as the exposed wood beams and molding as well as the natural light that pours into the room through the spacious windows in the sitting area help to create the rustic, natural look the family was hoping for.
