Contemporary, Organic Living Space is Full of Light
Vaulted exposed wood beams are paired with three massive pendant lights to bring the 17-foot-high ceilings down and create a cozier environment. Simple yet comfortable furniture surrounds an oversized gray coffee table, while neutral floor poufs provide extra seating when needed.
This cozy living room features a painted white brick fireplace, natural wooden mantelpiece and black-and-white framed art. A neutral-toned armchair with a patterned ottoman is positioned perfectly on parquet flooring beside a large glass sliding door.
Throughout the house, the designers manipulated size, materials, surfaces and textures to achieve a balance that would fit with the natural setting. The use of native stone and timber maintained a connection with the surroundings and emphasized locally-sourced materials.
Painted white bricks extend from the fireplace hearth to the ceiling in this transitional living space. Framed black-and-white abstract art sits on the wooden mantel just above a comfy, cushioned armchair with ottoman.
A painted, white brick fireplace with wooden mantel above the hearth provides a unique focal point in this rustic modern living room. A comfy cream-colored armchair with ottoman sits beside the large sliding glass door letting in lots of natural light.
To make this dining room ready for the holidays, designers added sprigs of evergreen to the chandelier and buffet, then added wintry accessories like snow-dusted pinecones and a small white Christmas tree.
Clean white walls contrast against the exposed natural beams throughout this open floor plan kitchen and living space. Low, comfortable furniture is ideal for gathering and relaxing, while the easy flow throughout the home creates a perfect space for entertaining.
A generously sized room provides spaces for both relaxing around the fireplace and dining with friends. Rather than resting below one of the specific zones, a large area rug helps delineate the space separating each zone.
Comfortable furniture, from the cozy sectional and Barcelona chair to the floor poufs and stools, combine to create a hangout spot for family, kids and friends. Three massive pendant lights from Noir pull the space together, while drawing the eye upward toward the gorgeous woodwork.
