Modern Hallway With Concrete Flooring
Polished concrete flooring with radiant heating leads past the wall of floor-to-ceiling windows and small kitchen island with a red accented overhang to a small red pocket door entrance for the master bedroom.
This warm, neutral foyer and living space features two black framed windows letting in lots of natural light. The sitting room area features two minimalist, cushioned chairs, a bench, patterned rugs and a collector's item motorcycle.
The foyer of this home opens up to a shared living space with modern decor. The space is narrow but offers plenty of seating with a large sofa and two armchairs positioned to enjoy the mounted TV and gas fireplace.
This modern home office showcases the original design with a black painted fireplace and warm hardwood floors, and now updated with contemporary gray walls, tufted leather chairs and a built-in wet bar.
Wow! Nothing like sliding doors to bring in the beautiful outdoors. This living room and bar area offers flexible furniture arrangements leading to the outdoor living deck, providing an indoor-outdoor connection. A key theme of this house is that it encourages incredibly eco-friendly habits and an awareness of the environment around it.
Chip and his team from HGTV's hit show Elbow Room remodeled the Struves' home office so that it had a separate entrance that keeps guests and clients out of the couple's bedroom. They also added features such as noise canceling walls to keep any distracting noises away from them as they work. There is extra storage in the office now as well as cool modern furniture and accents that appeal to the couple's creative side.
This Paradiso duplex-penthouse mixes elements of modern design all throughout the home. The contemporary staircase is both functional and artistic with a custom glass railing, while the herringbone pattern on the hardwood floor draws the eye to the nearby dining room with large pendant chandeliers facing the outdoor patio.
The stair design in the Capitol Hill Residence reinforces the concept of the central light core and makes for a dynamic entry and circulation space. Its apparent simplicity of form and material enhances the overall light and airy quality of the interior spaces.
