Midcentury Modern Dining Room With Bold Blue Chairs
This stylish dining room features plush, bright blue chairs that surround a spacious glass dining table. Two metal starburst chandeliers hang from the exotic wood plank ceiling, while a neutral stone wall adds a natural accent. A floating cabinet provides ample room for stowing dishes and other dining room items.
A wash of blue—in varying shades—and simple, elegant midcentury furniture makes this living room so welcoming and stylish. Along the back wall, an open shelving unit in white provides lots of storage while keeping the mood airy and light.
The design of this dining room aims to bring together an exciting mix of patterns and textures, all in a palette of blue. The custom chairs have a matte leather outside and a shiny linen patina inside. Artwork is made up of glass ovals clustered together.
Blue and Brown Midcentury Sitting Room With Red Chairs
Sometimes a smaller space can be exactly the right size to experiment with bold patterns and colors. In this sitting room, textured neutral wallpaper is a good jumping off place for the rich blue patterns and red chairs.
Unique Light Fixture and Burlap Ceiling in Navy Blue Dining Room
A burlap ceiling and unique light fixture top this navy blue midcentury modern dining room. The room features white wainscoting and coffered ceiling details, a round table with upholstered chairs, and a yellow-and-white rug with a geometric pattern.
A black dining table and dark-stained chairs provide stark contrast to the room's tropical blue and pale yellow color palette. The Grecian key pattern detail in the white credenza mimics the pattern in the dining chair seats, and a starburst mirror provides a touch of glamour to the sleek space. A large picture window allows plenty of natural light and supplies incredible city views.
Blue Midcentury Living and Dining Room With Leather Chairs
This living and dining area compellingly mixes casually rustic elements like the cow hide rug and exposed beams with more streamlined pieces like the counter height dining table. The blue walls wash the space with soothing calm.
The profile of this Midcentury sofa was purposely kept low to encourage unobstructed views out the surrounding windows. The space encourages relaxation with plenty of space to read or just take in the views.
Mid-Century Modern Dining Room From Sarah Sees Potential
As seen on season 1 of Sarah Sees Potential, this open plan dining room got a chic, mid-century modern makeover. Designer Sarah Richardson upcycled thrift store dining chairs by dipping the legs in chrome and reupholstering the seats. Keeping with the vintage theme, she installed a fun mid-century modern chandelier and two matching floating storage cabinets in a bright blue to match the owner's original artwork. A custom banquette and vintage wood dining table complete the look.
