Cozy Basement Family Room From Sarah Sees Potential
As seen on season 1 of Sarah Sees Potential, Sarah transformed this once cramped and dated basement into a modern, multi-purpose family room. Rustic, functional decor in sleek blue and gray hues perfectly complements the home's original, wood-burning stone fireplace. For easy entertaining, Sarah added extra storage, plenty of seating and mounted a large flat-screen TV above the mantel.
TriplePoint Design Build designed this modern media room with a minimalist aesthetic, allowing technology to take center stage. An attractive entertainment cabinet in gray wood was placed below a large flatscreen television and speakers for a stylish display of technology.
This poolhouse doubles as a spectacular hangout pad with edgy finishes, a cool black-and-gray palette and the star attraction: commissioned angel wings spanning 10 feet mounted onto a brass accent wall.
Lounge in ultimate luxury in this modern media room where the enormous sectional fills an entire wall and the artwork casts jewel-toned reflections across the windows. Younger viewers will be over the moon for the jellybean-shaped stools.
This contemporary media room features a futuristic vibe with its blend of lacquered and marble walls. Teal pillows decorate the white sofa, while a glass coffee table is positioned in front and on top of a textured gray area rug. A built-in television is just above a floating gray console table.
In this media room, a stainless steel fireplace creates sleek, smooth lines while stone walls add rugged texture. Colorful bean bag chairs add pops of color and provide comfortable seating for watching movies or playing games.
Custom, built-in cabinetry is the perfect solution for turning a snug room into usable living space in this cozy condo 12 stories high. Ample natural light helps balance the weight of the dark gray trim.
Modern Basement Rec Room From Sarah Sees Potential
As seen on season 1 of Sarah Sees Potential, a cinder block wall was removed to create this open and bright basement entertainment area. Sarah installed new wood paneling below the chair rail, neutral modern furnishings and heated Brazilian slate floors for a durable space that will accommodate a growing family of four.
Gray Transitional Family Room With Brick Fireplace
Invite the whole crew over for the game; this family room is ready with a plush, huge sectional, fireplace and tv. And when the kids get squirrely, send them out to play. There's a porch and yard on the other side of sliding glass doors.
Piles of toys often create clutter in family and media rooms, so control the chaos by using a storage system that addresses both toy and media storage. Go for a unit that combines drawers with open shelves, so you can use baskets for smaller toys and still have room for media equipment. Colorful soft hampers on each side create a home for stuffed animals.
