Light And Airy Loft Living Room
This light and airy modern loft living space is created by combining comfortable, curved furniture with mixed textures, such as the leather tufted sofa and mohair, gray sofas. The brick walls have been painted a neutral white shade highlighting the curves of the three large windows.
Modern Neutral Living Room with Orange Sofa and Rug
The living room with a custom-built bookshelf by Bristol and designed by Aubrey, an orange feel-good vibe, wooden coffee table, orange couch and drapes, wood-like floors, and orange rug in the Scotch Rose house.
The light, open design of this living room lets the home's outdoor space be an essential part of the ambiance. A fireplace is the room's anchor with large sliding doors opening out on either side to the patio.
Wood paneled ceilings and a tiled wall add texture in this clean and simple modern living room. A floating bookshelf and cabinets keep the room feeling open and spacious while a single white chair doubles as a sculptural accent.
Open Concept Living and Dining Areas With Natural Light
A wall-to-wall window allows natural light to flood these living and dining areas complete with neutral furniture and a wooden dining table. A metal strap globe chandelier illuminates the dining room, while the living rom features two gold metal shelves and a yellow area rug.
Nestled within historic Hyde Park, this modern and textured living space features a mixed design of dark wood and tufted leather. Two leather armchairs and sofa sit across from the gas fireplace with a white brick facade. The mounted TV is flanked by a wooden built-in and an artistic glass wine cabinet with door.
In the living room, designers created a bright, welcoming space. Designers painted the walls white to reflect the natural light from the windows, making the space feel light and open, while bold orange pillows and artwork create a vibrant space. To incorporate natural materials that complement those dotted throughout the house, a rustic coffee table and television table were added, softening the modern design.
A stunning great room that needed to be visually grounded in order for it to feel at all warm and welcoming. The ceilings are 20' high and it is a very long room between the kitchen and living area. The fireplace is the major focal point by using stripes of black cement tiles mixed with wood that echoes the color of the oiled oak floors. From there it was easy to keep the major pieces neutral and to add pops of color and metallics with the accessories.
This modern living room by designer Judith Balis has an open floor plan and a clean-lined sofa. The textural elements of the stone fireplace and shaggy rug, along with hints of apple green, keep this modern space from feeling too sterile.
This living area is both modern and bold with carefully placed accents that liven up the otherwise neutral space. Yellow and teal fabrics provide contrast, popping against the gray furnishings and rug to give the space an overall bold, yet refined look.
This cozy, modern living room features an all-neutral color palette that is both sleek and stylish. Ample seating makes this the perfect spot for entertaining. A fireplace at the end of the room adds to the ambiance.
Because this living room features a predominantly neutral palette, the shape of the furniture and the textures are more important. A round end table is a nice counterpoint to the boxy sofas and the armchairs offer up crisp angles and lines.
Modern Living Room With Fireplace and Built-In Shelving
Custom cabinetry and the gas fireplace created a focal point in this loft's living room, enhanced by the mother-of-pearl tile surround and glass mosaic tiled back. Artisan forged metal artwork, hand-blown glass bowls, glazed ceramic vases and a starburst mirror are showcased in these modern shelves.
To show off the brilliant colors in the large artwork, this living room keeps an overall neutral color scheme with a few bright accents. Designers chose matte black for the pendant to give it a sculptural feel.
