Slate gray walls set the scene for this eclectic living room. Black-and-white armchairs add pattern and texture to the neutral sofa and sleek white coffee table. Sliding glass doors bring in natural light, while a graphic-printed rug adds style underfoot.
Eclectic Living Room With Monochromatic Color Palette
Looking at it now, it's hard to believe that this space was ever dark or outdated. With its tall ceilings and expansive windows, the living room called for an unassuming, monochromatic palette that would allow the garden views to be the main attraction. So, designer Veronica Solomon framed the views with willowy curtains in white and then pulled in stylish, neutral furnishings.
A trio of bookshelves frame the TV, giving the appearance of a custom entertainment center. Plenty of plush pillows on this small sectional make it perfect for cozy couch time. Two small side tables are more versatile and take up less space than a traditional coffee table.
Bright, Eclectic Living Room With Exposed Ceiling Beams
A sofa draped in white blankets matches the bright white look of the walls and ceiling in this small and stylish living room. The black floor is a lovely, bold contrast. A striped runner follows the flow of the floor and aims toward a leaning ladder adorned with textiles. A gorgeous shell chandelier adds a unique detail, while plants add vibrant, natural color.
Brilliant color make a small living room feel larger. A pink upholstered ottoman double as seating and a coffee table. The chandelier and throw pillows put pink in the room, and an arm chair and throw add turquoise. A wall-sized piece of art matches the colors in the room.
Globally Inspired Living Room With Built-In Bookshelves
This family room features a diverse mix of fabrics, patterns and materials to create a globally-inspired, eclectic space. The deep midnight blue accent color on the ikat drapery is carried over to the hand-painted wooden plaques above the fireplace. The whole look is grounded with a large oriental rug and a classic-lined sofa. Accent furniture, including a unique hammered bronze metal coffee table, modern orange chair and classic wing-back chair complete the look.
A striped accent wall pulls this living room together and goes well with the cream sofa and printed slipper chairs. The room is no longer dark and dreary thanks to an orange coffee table, vibrant throw pillows and the help of HGTV's Buying and Selling.
Eclectic Living Room With Neutral, Patterned Pillows
Designer Veronica Solomon put a lot of thought into even the smallest details of this living room. Here, for example, guests can see that the pillows actually have hints of orange and yellow, which complement the flowers on the side table. In turn, the space as a whole looks perfectly tied together.
A little color and pattern goes a long way in this Tudor-inspired living room. A charcoal sectional is topped with colorful and textural throw pillows ranging from ikat to flokati. Rich purple accent chairs tie in the contemporary area rug and offer a subtle pattern of their own.
The living room has touches of color, too, with an emerald green sofa and a bright yellow cushion. By keeping the shiplap walls white, designer Michelle Gage ensured that all eyes would be on the wood beams and colorful accents.
Eclectic Living Room With White Background Mixed With Bright Colors and Patterns and Neutral Leather Sofa
A neutral, modern, leather sofa is brightened with vivid throw pillows. A multicolor, striped rug is touched by square floor cushions creating a mix of pattern and bright color to add life to the white base of this living room design. The contemporary coffee table features a gold wave movement for the legs under the circular, white tabletop.
Living Room Features Midcentury Modern Furnishings
A midcentury modern chandelier crowns this eclectic living room, which features multiple midcentury modern pieces. Two blue armchairs bring color to the space, and abstract art creates a focal point above the fireplace.
