Chip and his team from HGTV's hit show Elbow Room remodeled the Struves' home office so that it had a separate entrance that keeps guests and clients out of the couple's bedroom. They also added features such as noise canceling walls to keep any distracting noises away from them as they work. There is extra storage in the office now as well as cool modern furniture and accents that appeal to the couple's creative side.
This textured kids' room features colorful details, from the light blue wall color to the floral print area rug. Vibrant colors pop on the framed art and compliment the orange sofa and floral print armchairs.
"This garage remodel was designed for a UCLA professor who wanted a stylish home office," says Ron Cohen, CEO of Pearl Remodeling. "Because of zoning restrictions at the time of the remodel, we could not legally convert the garage into a living space, so we kept the garage door operational and updated the interior so it could still be enjoyed as a workspace. We installed new drywall on all walls and ceiling, and light-colored flooring and paint to brighten up the room. Open shelving with complementary decor give this study a modern touch with lots of room to personalize the space."
Modern White Home Office With Bold Purple Bulletin Board
This spacious home office features a white, built-in L-shaped desk with a matching chair. Sconces with orange and white floral mini lampshades frame a bold purple bulletin board, while a glass front cabinet showcases decorative glassware.
The home office space needed to have plenty of storage and function, so designers added a lacquer and stained oak custom built-in unit with open shelving, cabinets and drawers, as well as a usable workspace for the desktop computer. When the computer is not in use, the free-standing desk provides another work space. To warm up the space and create a contrast from the monochromatic colors, designers brought in a brown, swivel, office chair for a comfy place to sit.
Vibrant Modern Office With Vintage 1950s Orange Desk
Bright colors like orange and lime add energy and enliven this home office from designer Lori Dennis. A reclaimed desk from the '50s was painted in a car body shop to make it like new while a multicolored abstract painting with bold graphics creates a strong visual focal point.
This modern home office showcases the original design with a black painted fireplace and warm hardwood floors, and now updated with contemporary gray walls, tufted leather chairs and a built-in wet bar.
Dark gray walls surround this Brooklyn apartment's modern home office. With a light colored ceiling and lots of natural light coming from the oversized window, the leather desk chair and dark desk and cabinets feel less heavy in the space.
Light and Bright Home Office With Pink Acrylic Chairs
Natural light illuminates this modern home office which includes two pink acrylic chairs positioned behind a wood desk with white metal legs. Pink tulips fill a light green garden pot and sit atop the desk, while a bright blue lamp on a nearby metallic end table provides a pop of color.
Red and White Office Space With Floral Cork Board and Steel Desk
A stainless-steel corner desk with curved legs provides ample workspace in the feminine home office. The deep-red color palette flows through the space with the chair, trash bin, lamp and cherry-blossom cork board.
