Home Office With Striped Wallpaper
Brown and black-striped wallpaper gives dramatic flair to this workspace, especially when paired with the open shelves full of interesting accessories and artifacts. Positioned directly in front of the window, the desk takes full advantage of the view.
Inspired by the colors of an Asian botanical-print rug, warm tones and varied textures bring cozy harmony to this multi-purpose room. A grass cloth wall covering, woven shades and a suede-covered Arne Jacobsen Egg chair mix with a wool boucle daybed, custom designed for the space.
Home Office With Built-In Bookshelves and Television Insert
To meet her client's storage needs, designer Claire Paquin created this sleek home office for two using wood paneling and built-in bookshelves, cabinetry and desks. Even a large flatscreen television found a home as an insert on an unoccupied wall of the room. An area rug in light blue and orange completes her functional design.
Spacious Home Office With Floor-to-Ceiling Built-In Desk and Grand Piano
This focal point of this home office is a floor-to-ceiling built-in cherry wood desk complete with bookshelves and a taupe leather chair. Neutral tiles cover the floors, while a double tray ceiling and arched windows add interesting touches. A grand piano finishes the look of the space.
Inspired by local parks and landscapes, this eclectic home office uses a mixture of natural colors and textures. A reclaimed wood accent wall anchors the comfortable rolled-arm sofa, while a weathered wood table is used as a simple desk. A grassy green dresser adds a touch of bold yet earthy color to the space.
Though it's awash in browns with hunting lodge touches, this home office manages to maintain a modern vibe. Clean-lined draperies are hung on a thin, contemporary rod, and a narrow dresser serves as a modern TV console.
Dark browns give a elegant, solemn tone to this home office. The rug's tailored pattern is a hint of dimension on the floor. Custom built-in bookshelves: AWWSI; Rug: Stanton Needlepoint; Sconce lighting: Jonathan Adler; Chairs by Sunpan
In the home office, gorgeous wood paneling and an elaborately decorated coffered ceiling just might make it difficult to pay attention to the task at hand. Fortunately, there's also a chandelier to shed some light on the subject.
Richly Appointed Home Office Boasts Dark Wood Desk and Wall Unit
This home office, designed by Mary DeWalt Designs, provides a strong, masculine aesthetic as your eye feasts on the rich, dark woods of the desk, bookcase and flooring. DeWalt employed just a touch of blue in the area rug to reflect the color scheme she used for the rest of the home.
This simple home office space features a contemporary desk made from a mix medium grain wood and tiger stripe bamboo. The surrounding floor-to-ceiling windows offer natural light and a view of the backyard landscape.
