The new den that Aubrey and Bristol created out of one of the original four bedrooms in the single-family home they renovated together. Aubrey brought the eclectic and uplifting design into these rooms with accents of yellow, as seen on Flip or Flop Vegas.
The scissor trusses in the double-vaulted great room of the HGTV Dream Home 2013 add a dramatic detail without interfering with the marsh views from the second floor loft. The selection of intense shades of blue — both in fabric and wall color — is, in part, interior designer Linda Woodrum's nod to island decor and interiors.
Blue and Brown Contemporary Great Room With Oval Rug
This adventurous great room is like looking through a kaleidoscope: Swirls of pattern leap out from the wallpaper, the circular shapes echoed in the chandelier, rug and even the curve of the furniture. The white vintage sofa pops against rich hues of copper and blue.
Blue and White Contemporary Great Room With Sectional
For this sophisticated beach house, a blue-and-white palette complements its oceanfront setting, while contemporary details like the armchair's print and sculptural end tables have a decidedly modern feel.
Traditional Great Room With Decorative Ceiling and Rich Upholstery
This elegant great room features soft blue-green walls paired with gold accents, like the floral upholstered sofas. A traditional chandelier hangs from a decorative ceiling, while a square coffee table sits atop a teal and gold floral area rug. Five sets of French doors offer natural light and immediate access to the 93-foot terrace.
The home's open concept living area is at the center of the layout, with two master bedrooms on either side. Two sleeping lofts sit atop those bedrooms. And for easy outdoor access, a waterfront porch stretches along the back of the house.
Blue and White Transitional Great Room With Centerpiece
A few key details—cage pendant lights, bamboo chairs, glass hurricanes—bring a light touch into this great room. The room's color palette started the airy look with cloud white paneling and sky blue accents.
This family room is designed to feel soft and fun but still sophisticated. Blue walls liven up the look, while a stunning white leather sectional offers a more grown-up piece to anchor the child-friendly space.
Just off of the grand main staircase sits a luxurious great room, complete with hand-hewn walnut flooring that continues over to the adjacent gourmet kitchen. The large stone fireplace extends from floor to ceiling, while two wicker sofas and matching ottomans boast neutral cushions. Blue throw pillows add a pop of color.
Niches built inside of the columns allow for integrative bookshelves in the kitchen. “The builders and architects were really smart about using every square inch of this house to the best of its potential,” says interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn.
