Green Dining Room With Traditional Wood Sideboard
Soft green walls in this dining room create an ideal backdrop to showcase the gilt-framed art to best advantage. A traditional wood sideboard and white chair rail and wainscoting give added elegance to the space while black lampshades act as visual punctuation marks that give definition to the space.
Wainscoting and a coffered ceiling bring classic architectural detail to the yellow-green walls of this formal dining room. The traditional oval table is surrounded by comfortable navy chairs, while the space is grounded by a timeless rug.
There's something about a gold fireplace that feels utterly glamorous. To really complement the feature, the designers outfitted this cozy breakfast nook with a metallic mirror, fresh flowers and a round table that seats six, at least.
A sage green color scheme and traditional furniture give an old-world style to this formal dining room. Cotton velvet draperies in a saturated burgundy tone connect with the tiny berries in the woodland wall upholstery. A traditional crystal tasseled chandelier hangs over the table, and the dining chairs feature green velvet upholstery.
Slipcovered white chairs in this dining room create a visual parallel with the upholstered armchairs in the living area just beyond. Mismatched crystal candlesticks shake up the room's traditional overtones and uniform white tapers tie them all together.
Emerald walls become the perfect backdrop for a jungle-inspired mural in this formal dining room. As friends and family gather for dinner, they'll have no trouble using this as a topic of conversation.
While wooden and metal chairs are the easiest to clean, they’re not the most comfortable. An excellent alternative to wood and metal is an upholstered Louis XVI chair. Known for its fluted legs, square back and timeless style, this French piece works in modern and traditional settings. Linen and cotton upholstery options are great for spaces with active kids; however, leather and vinyl styles are the most kid-proof and easy to clean.
In this dining room, a floral rug and emerald green wallpaper make a formal statement alongside a crystal chandelier and elegant wood dining table. A rich wood sideboard with two small lamps keeps a low profile on the far wall.
