This blue and white coastal breakfast nook is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee with a morning ocean view. The large wicker pendant light acts as a focal piece in the space and hangs above a square neutral table with white chairs and blue cushions.
Green and blue hues give this open concept living and dining space a calming coastal feel. Rustic green shutters act as a divider between the rooms, with the wooden dining table, cushioned bench and hutch to the right and grey sofa with brass floor lamp on the left.
Open-Plan Coastal Living Space With Coffered Ceiling
Double cabinets and columns establish a hint of separation between the dining and living areas in this coastal-inspired space. Deep ceiling coffers and mullioned windows add a touch of formality that is offset by the casual furnishings and washed-out colors.
To give the outdoor dining area a coastal touch, the designers layered the reclaimed wood table with plates and linens in warm tones, like teal and coral. Starfish accents and a seahorse centerpiece further evoke thoughts of the beach.
Neutral Coastal Dining Room With Light Blue Chairs
Designer Sarah Richardson arranged the seating around the perimeter of the room so each seat has the perfect view of the water. The shades of blue in the upholstery represent the water, and layering the different patterns, like ikat, floral and striped, gives the room a lighthearted look.
This outdoor dining area showcases a coastal aesthetic that's open and inviting. The adjacent outdoor kitchen was built from four inches of masonry block on a poured concrete slab to keep appliances tucked away.
A simple pendant shade with rope drop hangs centered over this coastal-inspired dining table. The lighting, rustic chairs and orange starfish napkin holders creates an airy atmosphere perfect for a beach house.
This coastal kitchen and dining area features a long wooden dining table under an iron light fixture. White-painted wood chairs with patterned blue cushions surround the table. Blue bar chairs with nailhead finish provide extra seating facing the adjoining kitchen, while a blue subway tile backsplash in the kitchen provides a bright splash of color against the white cabinets. A wood inlay floor ties both spaces together.

Blue and white give this breakfast nook a big personality. Nautical touches—lobster pillows and sailboat decor—fit right in with the waterfront surroundings. A glass-top table and upholstered banquette strike a polished note in the casual dining space.
