This spot off the kitchen, where both meals and schoolwork happen, is bustling all day long. Luke brought in pops of color with yellow chairs by Coavas and a wall hanging by local artist Kate Crowley-Gilbert. “I don’t like spaces that seem cold or sterile, so Luke gave every room softness,” says Miranda. Here it’s a round table (vintage) and a woven pendant (from Candelabra). The wood piece against the wall is a refurbished plant stand, found at Boise Vintage.
Designer Robin LaMonte used more ornaments and even place settings to carry those beautiful blue and cream hues into the dining room. Here, the soft shades help balance the dark wood of the dining table and chairs, keeping the space light and airy.
A glamorous white and gold centerpiece is key to dressing up this formal dining room for Christmas. Blue velvet gourds give the design a touch of color and echo the hues of the painting over the fireplace.
To make this dining room ready for the holidays, designers added sprigs of evergreen to the chandelier and buffet, then added wintry accessories like snow-dusted pinecones and a small white Christmas tree.
Country Wood Dining Set Adjacent to Contemporary Kitchen
Gray concrete flooring provides a smooth connection for the rooms in this open floor plan. From the contemporary kitchen, a large opening leads to the dining space. A wood table with matching chairs, floral roman shades and blue walls decorate the room with a country style.
Weathered white beams serve the neat trick of guiding the eye along the length of this open concept dining room down to a small music area with a piano. The red rug beneath the dining table helps define that space in the open layout.
In the nook between this home's kitchen and living room, the designers painted the walls and the ceiling dark gray to give more of a bright and open feeling when entering into the other spaces which are white.
This light and airy dining space lets in lots of natural light from the oversized windows and French doors. A large wooden dining table with high back chairs for eight guests sits on top of a stunning blue Persian-style rug.
Evoking the home's English charm, Wedgwood blue built-ins provide plenty of storage for dishes, cups, serveware and even houses a coffee serving station. Original hardwood floors ground the dining room and a classic table is surrounded by simple yet comfortable chairs.
Contemporary Open Plan Living Room With Industrial Vibe
This stylish neutral living room features a gray sofa and two striped armchairs paired with a glass coffee table and brown shag area rug. The open floor plan allows for easy transition between the living, dining and kitchen spaces, while exposed galvanized ductwork and concrete flooring add an industrial look.
