Kitchen Cousins Anthony Carrino and John Colaneri used a grinder with a buffing wheel and some strategically placed strikes with a heavy metal chain to achieve the distressed look.

A huge navy island accommodates the kids' baseball team and hides scuff marks, as well as adds color to the space. The barstools are easy to wipe clean.
