Stainless Oven, Range Hood Increase Kitchen's Functionality
Those cabinets are just as functional as they are stylish, offering storage and keeping the counters clutter-free. Between them sits a sleek oven and range hood, which add to the kitchen's functionality.
Transitional Cream Kitchen With Antique Wheeled Cart as Island
One of the most useful and creative designs of this open plan kitchen is the center island that syncs, back-to-back, new custom cabinetry with an antique wheeled cart. This allows the cook more elbow room on which to work and guests to relax at barstools while watching all the action taking place. The design also incorporates an industrial feel to this transitional-styled kitchen for an eclectic touch.
Bright white pairs with dark gray to create a clean, crisp color palette in this open concept kitchen. Recessed lighting brightens the space, and gorgeous wood floors add a touch of rusticity to the design.
Black Countertops, Island Create Striking Contrast in Transitional Kitchen
With all-white cabinets and a matching subway tile backsplash, this open plan kitchen called for countertops that would create a cool visual contrast. The designers chose a dark black -- almost onyx-like -- granite and added it to the island, too, to tie the space together.
This spacious, open floor plan allows guests to easily transition between the living room and kitchen areas. A neutral leather sofa and round glass table are included in the living room, while the large white kitchen features a peninsula with two black stools for casual dining.
Eat-In Kitchen With Green Stone Island Countertop and Open Floor Plan
The traditional layout of this open kitchen offers the perfect setup for dining and entertaining friends and family. At the centerpiece is a stunning, green stone countertop on the oversized kitchen island that ties in with the dark wood cabinetry and green-and-brown mosaic tile backsplash.
White Transitional Kitchen with Classic & Modern Touches
This Victorian home features a fully updated kitchen sprinkled with both modern and classic touches. The design team expanded the space to make room for a mudroom, in the process opening it up to a flood of natural light. The large island, painted a contrast color to create a focal point, anchors the mostly white room.
Because this kitchen is so open, the owners can cook dinner and still converse with loved ones in the other room. Three glass pendant lights hang over the island and ensure that the space is bright for meal-prep and conversation.
White Transtiional Kitchen With Elegant Marble Countertop
The dining bar's richly veined white marble creates a bold visual impact and unifies the kitchen's black-and-white color scheme. Bright white cabinets bring a stark contrast against solid black countertops — creating sleek, clean lines in this sophisticated space.
Kitchen With Blue and Barnwood Cabinets, Hood, and Island
There’s a touch of retro -- but nothing old-fashioned -- about this bungalow kitchen, with its striking combination of rustic barnwood, robin’s-egg-blue surfaces, sleek countertops, and metallic barstools.
