Brown Contemporary Open Plan Kitchen With Range Hood
Elegant brown cabinets fill up one wall of this contemporary kitchen floor to ceiling to create the maximum storage space in the open concept design. Dual ovens and a cooktop make sure the kitchen's prepped for any culinary project.
This family of five needed a kitchen that fit their active lifestyle. The main goal of the kitchen remodel was to create an open plan that flows into the dining room and home office. Slate tile flooring and shared cabinetry connects the kitchen and home office, which also functions as the kids' homework center.
Modern Kitchen With Exotic Wood Cabinetry and Floors
This open plan kitchen features gorgeous exotic teak wood cabinets and Brazilian cherry hardwood floors paired with stainless steel appliances. Tall, exposed beam ceilings create a spacious look, while a fruit bowl and variety of arranged flowers add a tropical touch.
Sleek dark cabinets, a stainless steel range hood and curved layout make this kitchen a real show-stopper. Large picture windows provide a stunning view of the lake and allow lots of natural light to fill the kitchen.
Streamlined wood cabinets make a sleek, unfussy statement in this simple contemporary kitchen that features all the amenities without taking up a lot of space. The open plan lets natural light from surrounding windows flood in.
Gorgeous wood paneling and cabinets give a refined cabin feel to this open concept kitchen and dining area. Spare, clean-lined elements are expertly mixed with organic accents like the wood table and stools.
Centered in the expansive kitchen is a large island, which doubles as prep area and a dining spot. Hardwood floors ground the space, while exposed wood beams bring in a rustic quality. The room off the kitchen features a butler's pantry, providing much-needed storage.
A large center island provides extra counter space and storage in this Craftsman kitchen. One of the main goals for the kitchen remodel was to create more of an open feeling that would flow from one room to the next, as well as connect to the backyard.
The spacious kitchen blends white cabinets, ceiling and walls with beautiful dark hardwood floors, countertops and an elegant dining table for a look that comes off as both refreshing and grounded. The open plan design makes the water views accessible from the entire room.
Large Island Provides Generous Storage for Open Kitchen
As seen on HGTV's America's Most Desperate Kitchens, designers were able to open up the floor plan to create a larger kitchen space and to add a large island with integrated range and a generous amount of storage space. A pass through window was closed off to convert the old dining room into a bar area with additional storage.
Soft neutral tiles ground the hallway and kitchen, where redwood is used throughout the open floor plan kitchen. The oversized island houses much-needed storage, range, extra sink and tons of prep space.
The hip look of this home's midcentury modern kitchen stayed the same, but designers improved its size and entertaining potential. The layout was reconfigured to triple the size of the kitchen, raise the ceilings (from 8 feet to 10) and add a new bar.
Brown and Cream Traditional Kitchen With Tile Walls
Dark wood cabinets create a warm, rich contrast against this kitchen's pale yellow tile walls. The cabinets were extended all the way to the ceiling for additional storage and as a showcase for special dish ware.
