Open Plan Kitchen With Gray and White Granite Island
This home's open floor plan allows for easy transition between the kitchen and living room spaces, which share an all-over neutral color palette. The kitchen boasts a spacious island with a gray and white granite countertop, allowing room for food preparation and casual dining at the countertop stools.
The beautiful finish on the cabinets in this contemporary open plan kitchen echoes both the hardwood floors and the exposed beams of the ceiling. One row of elegant pendant lights illuminates the kitchen island; a second sets apart the adjacent dining area.
This kitchen was redesigned to have an open plan layout to make it brighter, friendlier and easier to get around in. Soapstone and Aurea stone (a marble lookalike) have a classic feel that's in keeping with the home's original architecture.
Everything in this interior was thoughtfully designed by Ana Claudia and her husband. In the kitchen, custom details stand out as unique statement pieces. Chevron brick tile creates a graphic display as the backsplash behind the kitchen stove. At the center of the kitchen, an island has been designed, blending stone and natural wood in an unexpected way. The mix of materials adds to the home’s story of midcentury meets modern design.
Black and gold combine to create a sleek profile in this streamlined, modern kitchen. A mix of dark and light cabinetry is unified by dark countertops and an eye-catching backsplash that brings the mix of hues together. Three clean-lined pendants light the island, while a trio of modern upholstered barstools provide seating that allows guests to interact with the cook. An integrated refrigerator features modern brass pulls that match the rest of the hardware and fixtures.
Open shelving mixes with sleek, modern cabinetry in this open concept kitchen. A trio of modern pendant lights hangs above a sleek island, while brass hardware brings a retro-modern vibe. Pattern on the backsplash creates a fun focal point.
White walls, large windows and a pretty pendant ensure that this kitchen is bright and airy for meal prep. Meanwhile, a cheerful blue accent wall, wood island and plaid stool all give the space a charming country touch.
A closer look at the back wall reveals crisp white cabinets with matching subway tile. While the cabinets provide storage for glasses and plates, the backsplash makes the kitchen feel clean, bright and modern.
The wonderful aqua arched door that leads into the pantry was another moment inspired by the family room's bright painting. The blue is picked up on the island's base, a fun surprise of color in the mostly neutral room.
