Handsome Home Office
Although it may not be used from nine to five, this charming home office gets down to business. Complete with a stately wood desk, rolling desk chair and leather chaise, the space has a sophisticated feel.
When they need to send a quick email, the owners can make use of this handsome home office. Here, a dark gray, built-in bookcase keeps reference books and other materials on hand, while a brown leather chair and wood desk create an official workstation.
Might as well write a Shakespeare-worthy play in this fetching Tudor-style home office, either curled up on the window seat or behind the handsome desk. The room mixes classic elements like the leaded windows with fresh accents like the pretty patterned pillows and desk chair.
Transitional Home Office With Fireplace Focal Point
The raw, rambling third floor had one well-sized room, but the rest of the space was a jungle of trusses and HVAC ducts. The designers turned that space into a home office, wet bar, two bedrooms, a full bath and an elevator lobby. Here, the largest room was created into a home office. To create a focal point, the bottom section of the ornate fireplace (originally in the great room) was placed on a wall that is flanked by bookcases. The fireplace is not functional, but it creates a handsome backdrop behind the homeowner’s desk.
Cerused-oak paneling transforms this eclectic study into a peaceful sanctuary. The oversized block pattern of the walls shows off a handsome grain and provides order to to the art display while a red dresser and chair provide bold pops of color in the space.
When the homeowner's son left for college, his outdated bedroom was repurposed and updated for use as both a guest bedroom and a home office. The taupe and cream palette is a handsome, gender-neutral look.
