We’ve made it upstairs to the family’s private spaces and here’s a snapshot of Whitney and Micah’s daughter’s room. The design has not strayed far from the principles already established. This room boasts yet another lovely shade of green and promotes imagination and creativity. There’s a collage of the girl’s own art above her bed and a special piece above the bookcase created by Whitney reflecting her younger self with her own mother. The quilt was hand sewn by Whitney and her mom and the cute crochet animals were handmade by Whitney’s sister. How’s that for three generations of artists? The design is simple, the colors are bright and the mood is happy.
The couple turned a small upstairs bedroom into a nursery to accommodate their growing family. The neutral colors make it a sweet place for a baby, while the light pouring in from the window and the chandelier on the ceiling makes the space light.
Stone Double Fireplace in Contemporary Master Bedroom
A double-sided stacked stone fireplace is a stunning focal point in the center of this elegant master bedroom. Comfortable chairs sit on one side for a cozy seating area, while a platform bed is situated between picturesque windows with beautiful views.
With a new baby girl in the family, Chip and his team were charged with the important job of making sure that the Howells' princess has the perfect palace. Chip and his team added complimentary colors, such as pink and purple, as well as multiple patterns and textures to make this place sugar and spice and everything nice for this baby girl. The luxurious crib and additional toy storage is a must have to help make the nursery clean and inviting.
Fixer Upper hosts Chip and Joanna Gaines transformed a depressing room into a bright and festive nursery for the Purks' baby on the way. The old wall paneling was removed and replaced with light blue painted drywall with white trim.
Take the architectural route to your fire pit area with sculptural furniture, minimal decor and a contemporary chiminea. To create a focal point and ground the space, opt for a tall chiminea standing at least five feet.
White Living Room With Modern Furniture and Large Painting
White walls and beams make a perfect background for this living room's earthy tweed midcentury-modern sofa and chair and the large, visually stunning painting whose colors are echoed in the room's accessories.
Nailhead trim stools add extra seating in the living room when needed and can be stowed away under the contemporary table. Ombre curtains dress the windows, bringing the eye up and highlighting the abstract artwork.
A high-pitched roof gives a family starry views from the outdoor porch of a rustic lake home in Georgia. Builder Mike Hammersmith came up with the double-sided fireplace with steel pocket doors that slide behind it. On nice days, the pocket doors can open and connect the living room with the porch.
After soaking up some sun on the deck, the owners and their kids can cool off in the pool. A blue tiled accent wall with three water fountains makes the space feel even more refreshing.
