Eclectic Living Room Design Showcasing Large Arched Floor Lamp, Natural Wood Coffee Table and Charcoal Sectional
A large arching floor lamp gives height to this living room design and directs its light over the natural wood coffee table. A charcoal gray sectional adds a heavier, darker tone to the otherwise light and airy color scheme. A shag rug, faux fur throw and floor cushions add a mix of cozy textures.
Patterned Area Rug Protects Hardwood Floors in Formal Living Room
With two red leather armchairs, two upholstered recliners and two sofas (one on the wall, the other by the window), this formal living room can easily accommodate a crowd of people. Thus, the designers laid down a patterned area rug to protect the historic home's original hardwood floors and break up all the neutrals.
This is the perfect bedroom for a very smart, chic and fashion-savvy teenage girl — a posh white room with a nod to old Hollywood glamor. Fabulous gold and white vintage-inspired wallpaper showcases the tall accent wall behind the bed. The rest of the room is dressed with textural fabrics, vintage touches and gold accessories.
This corner of the guest house is especially comfortable thanks to two plush yellow armchairs and a woven area rug. When they're not curled up with a book, guests can switch on the TV and catch a movie before bed.
From the modern lighting to the antique woodstove to the children's teepee and piano, this multifunctional family space is filled with fun and whimsy. The designer sought to create an eclectic space that the homeowners, their young children and their friends would love to hang out in. White walls and ceilings allow the home's colorful accents to pop.
Casual Living Room With Gray Leather Sofa and Red Accents
This fun twist on a casual living room uses a triangle patterned rug to add shape to the room. A gray leather sofa and black cushioned wooden rocker provide seating around a low wooden coffee table, while bright accents of red are added by a variety of pillows, a vase of flowers and eclectic wall art.
A traditional, worn-leather Chesterfield sofa is whimsical when combined with a funky painting of a larger-than-life catfish. As one of the first rooms visitors experience when they enter this restored Brooklyn townhouse, the laid back design of this eclectic mudroom sets a comfortable, casual tone.
Eclectic Porch Sitting Area With White Furniture & Buddha Statue
A white Buddha statue, among other Asian accents used throughout the space, introduces a Zen mood to this porch sitting area. Beautiful white furniture and sheer white curtains look even brighter against the natural background and neutral floor. Throw pillows add pops of accent color in red, purple and pink, while the pair of metallic tables adds a touch of glam to the design.
This living room was subdivided to create a bedroom, and a floating staircase was added to the newly extended second floor. The ladder in one corner and the tall, gold-framed mirror in the opposite corner showcase the room's high ceiling. Double doors open up to reveal the stylish master bedroom.
This contemporary and eclectic girls bedroom features an accent wall papered with multicolored butterflies, laying the groundwork for a fun space with boldly colored accents. White walls elsewhere in the room give the interplay of patterns added punch.
The long, open floor plan space combines the living room, kitchen and dining room in one easy flow. A graphic-printed area rug defines the seating area, which pairs a neutral sofa with black-and-white-patterned armchairs and a sleek white coffee table.
