Instead of nightstands, a pair of wooden Bombay-style chests with a hand-painted red and white floral pattern add stylish storage on each side of the bed. "They look almost like they were picked up on a trip overseas and brought back," says designer Brian Patrick Flynn.
Eclectic Powder Room With Contemporary Southwestern Wallpaper
Textured wallpaper with a bohemian navy print gives this powder room a contemporary Southwestern look. Simple fixtures keep the focus on the bold wallpaper, so as not to overwhelm the small space. The solid wood vanity serves as a fixed focal point to anchor the room.
To create a master suite that’s clean and classic, remodeling expert Darron O’Bonnon and interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn both agreed on a tranquil shade of blue-gray for the walls, trim and ceiling. For masculine appeal, Flynn outfitted the room with a mix of rustic, primitive and midcentury modern touches.
An Eclectic Bedroom With Blue Walls and Mix and Matched Patterns
Complete your small space by mixing patterns. In this bedroom, Ikat print curtains pair well with a tribal influenced mirror that hangs above the bed. Use throw pillows to your advantage, and add visual interest by mixing similarly colored pillows that have interesting patterns. The chevron pillows here are set off by a nostalgic, knitted throw in the middle. Unify the space by matching a muted blue wall color with quilted bed linens to add texture, but keep the pops of color from overpowering the room.
Eclectic Guest Bedroom With Fun Fish-Themed Wallpaper
Fish wallpaper adds a whimsy and fun touch to this guest suite, which features a twin bed and ocean-blue wooden nightstand. A blue and pink quilt covers the bed, while a neutral cane back headboard is positioned behind the bed. A decorative fish lamp sits bedside.
In addition to being fun and playful, the chalkboard end tables also offer up a chance to change up looks. White chalk was used to mark architectural furniture sketches which bring a more adult-like feel to the family room.
Eclectic Master Bedroom With Ombré Walls and Floral Curtains
This eclectic bedroom with low ceilings inspired designer SuzAnn Kletzien to make light, bright and expansive design choices, including hand-painted blue and white ombré walls and floral curtains. The space for nightstands was quite narrow, but Kletzien used hanging brass pendant lights to leave more open space for books, plants and accessories.
This modern powder room features a white pedestal sink positioned in front of a wall with light blue and white floral wallpaper. Two metallic sconces frame an etched decorative mirror, while chrome fixtures finish off the look of the space.
Black subway tiles help shine a spotlight on this powder room's bright turquoise wallpaper decorated with butterflies and moths. The floor sports a bold diamond pattern and a vintage metal washstand and pivot mirror are a nod to the home's historical roots.
Eclectic Blue Master Bedroom With Crystal Chandelier
A wintry feeling is evoked with the large crystal ceiling fixture that is nearly the width of the queen-sized bed below it. Textured walls, silver floor-to-ceiling window treatments, black crown molding and blue velvet bedding also add drama to this generous-sized master suite.
