Muted walls with vibrant orange accents and geometric patterns make the kids’ bedroom not only fun but sophisticated and ideal for all ages. “I think it has universal appeal because it is very cute and childlike in a boy’s room, but I think this also works well as a guest room for adults,” says interior designer Linda Woodrum.
Cheerful Nursery With Two-Tone Walls and Floor-to-Ceiling Bookshelves
This colorful nursery features teal two-tone walls, hardwood floors and a daybed that pulls out into a trundle bed. Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves neatly display books, while a modern dresser provides storage. A vibrant yellow floor lamp adds a pop of sunny color.
Designer Claire Paquin crafted this pristine master suite, incorporating the unique wood detailing of the space as an interesting backdrop for her design. She kept the main elements of the room neutral but added pops of color and patterns that modernize the look. A flat-screen TV was inset in a paneled wall for easy and unobtrusive viewing.
Sharp angles and polished surfaces creates this sleek, modern master bedroom. A zebra striped rug covers the entire bedroom floor and is complemented by a framed, black and white photograph, mirror, and black dresser for an elegant look.
Modern Nursery with Copper and Blue Sea Wallpaper and White Crib
The flowing copper illustration of fish and other deep sea creatures appealed to designer Keita Turner's clients in Brooklyn, N.Y., for their son’s nursery because of the pattern’s fun, whimsical and modern style. The Underwater World wallpaper is by Pattern People and from Hygge & West.
