Flipping the Block Orange and White Master Bedroom
As seen on HGTV's Flipping the Block, sisters Anicka Marshall and Shauna Williams created a mid-century modern theme in the master bedroom of Unit A on the Block in Glendale, California. The team had subcontracted out all of the construction work and focused their time and energy on the design of the room. A neutral beige/taupe wall color created a clean background for warm-toned furnishings and accessories, with orange, gold, and bronze used as accent colors. Classic baseboard finished the walls and made the room feel crisp and fresh.

Bright, Midcentury Modern Bedroom With Lavender Accents
Perhaps our favorite part of this bedroom is the sliding barn door that reveals the bathroom and small study area. The door is painted a lovely shade of lavender that is also found in the bedding. The room feels bright and airy thanks to the natural light pouring from the windows and reflecting off the stark white walls.
To give the room a personal touch, the designers surrounded the bed with family photos and artwork. A large graphic print in blue anchors the wall, while also bringing out the best in the orange bed frame and yellow accents.
With its modern furnishings and bohemian vibe, this master suite is a retreat built to inspire. White walls provide a streamlined backdrop for an otherwise earthy palette. Vintage case pieces reflect the home's mid-century modern architecture.
