Flipping the Block Orange and White Master Bedroom
As seen on HGTV's Flipping the Block, sisters Anicka Marshall and Shauna Williams created a mid-century modern theme in the master bedroom of Unit A on the Block in Glendale, California. The team had subcontracted out all of the construction work and focused their time and energy on the design of the room. A neutral beige/taupe wall color created a clean background for warm-toned furnishings and accessories, with orange, gold, and bronze used as accent colors. Classic baseboard finished the walls and made the room feel crisp and fresh.
A pair of vintage gold mirrors were the design inspiration for this master bedroom. The metallic pop is picked up in the pulls of the large and functional side tables and in subtle accents throughout the room.
To give the room a personal touch, the designers surrounded the bed with family photos and artwork. A large graphic print in blue anchors the wall, while also bringing out the best in the orange bed frame and yellow accents.
