]This room started as a dark room with heavy furniture that failed to accentuate the rooms greatest features, like the vaulted T&G ceiling. The room was brightened up with a light blue paint, added hardwood floors and a chandelier that would draw one’s eye to the beautiful, original ceiling.

A shiplap accent wall creates a subtle focal point in this minimalist master bedroom. White walls form a backdrop to an earthy palette brought forth in fabrics and accessories. Case pieces reflect the home's mid-century architecture.
In the master bedroom, the wall on which the bed rests is covered in a gorgeous, metallic silver grass cloth that conceals the hidden door to the closet. Above the mirrored, four-poster bed, a brass chain link chandelier makes a bold statement, while rich texture was added with black faux fur pillow shams and blanket at the food of the bed. To personalize the space even further, designers had a modern, monogram printed on metallic linen.

Drawing on midcentury modern influences, this bold headboard with shimmering, peacock-like upholstery wows against a teal and gold patterned accent wall. The long shade of a glass lamp adds to the retro vibe.
Prior to the makeover, this master bedroom was in contractor-grade condition, from its neutral carpet to the beige paint on its walls. Taking inspiration from its colorful abstract art, the room received a new identity with shades of blue accented with fire-engine red. The paper lantern light fixtures add lightness to this otherwise masculine bedroom.

Expansive windows in this space add plenty of warm, natural light, making the space inviting. However, these windows didn't always make the space cozy, so designers added new silk drapes to block morning sun. New wood furniture was added to the space, the clean lines giving this master bedroom a modern feel, which was softened by the addition of new bedding and a Persian rug. The ceiling was painted green to give the space depth, while modern art was added to give personality to this mater bedroom.
Low-Profile Midcentury Bed Against Charred Wood Wall
The low-profile wood bed in this master bedroom extends out into two nightstands, making the bed itself feel larger. A charred wood accent wall backs the bed, providing stark contrast, and a funky rocking chair helps tie the color scheme together.
Blue and Green Mid Century Master Bedroom with New Drapes and Funky Accents
The windows in this Midcentury Modern bedroom added beautiful view, but weren't very cozy, so designers added new, traverse, raw silk drapery to provide privacy as well as protection from the morning sun. To give the space personality and add texture and depth, new bedding and furniture was added to the space, and funky accents, such as the antique Tabriz rug and the modern art statue, tie the space together.
A pair of vintage gold mirrors were the design inspiration for this master bedroom. The metallic pop is picked up in the pulls of the large and functional side tables and in subtle accents throughout the room.
Graphic Teal Wallpaper Pairs With Midcentury Modern Lamp
The tall, striking shade of a midcentury modern lamp echoes the metallic, reflective feel of cool and attractive teal bedroom wallpaper. A whimsical dog statue carries the teal into the accents in the room, and a vase of fresh roses completes the ensemble.
