Midcentury Modern Master Bedroom with New Modern Furniture and Persian Rug
Expansive windows in this space add plenty of warm, natural light, making the space inviting. However, these windows didn't always make the space cozy, so designers added new silk drapes to block morning sun. New wood furniture was added to the space, the clean lines giving this master bedroom a modern feel, which was softened by the addition of new bedding and a Persian rug. The ceiling was painted green to give the space depth, while modern art was added to give personality to this mater bedroom.
This wonderful baby boy's nursery used the theme of transportation to inspire its whimsical decor. Accessories and toys fill the space with planes, trains and automobiles. Bold, graphic prints and stripes in blue, black, gray and yellow add vibrancy and color.
Prior to the makeover, this master bedroom was in contractor-grade condition, from its neutral carpet to the beige paint on its walls. Taking inspiration from its colorful abstract art, the room received a new identity with shades of blue accented with fire-engine red. The paper lantern light fixtures add lightness to this otherwise masculine bedroom.
Midcentury Modern Blue Master Bedroom with Yellow Pillows
The new first master bedroom with a sliding barn door leading into the master bathroom in the home that Aubrey and Brsitol renovated together. Aubrey went with the blue color in this house because she wanted Bristol to be excited, as seen on Flip or Flop Vegas.
Graphic Teal Wallpaper Pairs With Midcentury Modern Lamp
The tall, striking shade of a midcentury modern lamp echoes the metallic, reflective feel of cool and attractive teal bedroom wallpaper. A whimsical dog statue carries the teal into the accents in the room, and a vase of fresh roses completes the ensemble.
Stunning and attractive teal and gold patterned wallpaper acts as the focal point for this creative, comfy bedroom. Drawing on midcentury modern influences, a bold headboard with simmering, peacock-like upholstery works in tandem with the long shades and retro shapes of glass lamps and nightstands. The teal motif is carried throughout the room in plush pillows, a cozy throw and vintage accents.
A pastel palette is the foundation for this master bedroom's serene mood. To give its owners a place to unwind, designers added a sitting area. Cloud-soft sheepskin rugs are heaven underfoot by the bed.
This pale blue midcentury modern master bedroom features a blue geometric-pattern rug, midcentury-style nightstands with blue table lamps, a wooden bed with a cushioned table at the foot, and a large neutral dresser beneath a large piece of artwork.
While small furniture leaves more room for walking around in a small space, miniscule couches and chairs are rarely comfortable. So rather than place two pokey little loveseats in this 7x12-foot sitting room, designer Amie Weitzman built large seating banquettes into the blue-tweed-upholstered walls."This room is part of a guest suite," explains Weitzman, "So comfort was really the top priority." The sofas are deep enough to sink into and large enough to flop onto, "and building them right into the wall," Weitzman says, "buys you a few extra inches of floor space."
Even if you are using freestanding pieces in a small room, you can go with substantial furniture. "The one thing to make sure of," says Weiztman, "is that if you need to, you can walk around the furniture comfortably."
Orange and turquoise breathe life into this bright and airy Mid-century modern nursery that showcases designers from DucDuc and Stray Dog Designs to Spot on Square and Nurseryworks. A plush shag rug, large glider and ottoman and great storage make the space comfortable and practical.
