Bohemian Master Bedroom with Shiplap Accent Wall
A shiplap accent wall in the master bedroom mimics an exterior fence original to this mid-century modern California house. The wall anchors a modern platform bed and reflects the rest of the home's mostly white paint palette. Earthy accent colors create a harmonious and zen space with a bohemian feel.
Gold-Trimmed Mirrors Resemble Gothic Cathedral Windows
With their unusual shape, these gold-trimmed mirrors almost resemble the windows in a cathedral. The candelabra accent below further drives this idea home and speaks to the owners' love of Gothic style.
Like the master bath, the master bedroom sticks close to the design of the couple's eclectic home, but takes a more soothing approach. Bold blues create a soothing feeling while bringing warmth into the space, while plush, white bed linens and silver accents create a soft contrast in the elegant space.
Eclectic Master Suite Outfitted With Bold Black Linens
This master bedroom eschews crisp white linens in favor of something more dramatic: black pillows and a matching duvet cover. The two lamps on the nightstands complement the design nicely -- and give the owners a light for late-night reading.
Master Suite Balances Feminine, Masculine Elements
Over the bed, a wall of sketches showcases some of designer Raegan Ford's favorite artists. At the same time, the dark wood headboard and picture frames help balance the room's more feminine details, like the silver pillows. The result? A harmonious sleeping space.
The home's rich hardwood floors easily flow into the master suite, where a plush bed encourages rest after a long day of working. Greco-Roman busts, framed sketches and other artwork lines the walls, keeping the designer's favorite items close.
Artwork and Vintage Dresser in Jet Black Master Bedroom
To add some fun, bold color to the master bedroom, designers brought in a piece of artwork that was created with drippings from melted crayons. They hung this unique piece above a vintage, 1930s black dresser with copper pulls. Both of these pieces pop against the jet black walls of the master bedroom.
Washed out wood floors and soaring white ceilings give this master bedroom a bright, open feel. A simple wrought iron canopy bed with billowy white curtains enhances the airiness of the space. An oatmeal-colored rug helps define the sleeping area.
Eclectic though it may be, this master suite is fit for royalty! Here, a gold headboard and pillows featuring the Union Jack add a regal touch to the bed, which is complemented by a crystal chandelier and red velvet chairs.
To create a master suite that’s clean and classic, remodeling expert Darron O’Bonnon and interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn both agreed on a tranquil shade of blue-gray for the walls, trim and ceiling. For masculine appeal, Flynn outfitted the room with a mix of rustic, primitive and midcentury modern touches.
Light-Filled Eclectic Master Bedroom With Canopy Bed
A towering canopy bed draws you into this master bedroom, and the lofty layering of bedding invites you to stay. A generous sprinkling of details completes the eclectic space: groupings of framed artwork, a pair of tufted ottomans and an antique chest standing in for a nightstand.
