Contemporary Kid's Bedroom With Reading Nook and Industrial-Style Bunk Beds
The vaulted ceiling kids' bedroom in the HGTV Green Home 2010 has a bunk bed made from industrial metal pipe railing and stairs. A cozy reading nook with a comfy orange chair is illuminated by paper-mache lamps.
Traditional Light Green Girl's Room With Pink Bedding
This darling bedroom is the perfect place for a young girl to play and grow up. Light green walls are beautifully accented with pink bedding, a pink rug and a curtained canopy. A tulip chandelier and small table lamps provide cute and decorative lighting. Darker pink and green throw pillows add depth to the color combination.
This green bedroom has a lively design perfect for a little rockstar. The vibrant green wall color is highlighted with black stripes and the zebra print comforter make this an eye-catching space. A desk at the foot of the bed provides a workspace and added storage and a chair in the corner is perfect for relaxing. A storage unit of cubbies next to the bed adds space for light and more storage containers.
Contemporary/Coastal Kid's Bedroom With Wall-Papered Ceiling
This design of this kid's bedroom demonstrates the finesse of Jackson Paige Interiors, as they incorporate the overall contemporary, coastal theme of the home but with a fun and free-wheeling approach. The contemporary bunk bed with shelves anchors the decor and allows the more eclectic elements--wallpaper, striped wall, light fixture and built-in daybed--to show their charm.
This bedroom for two sisters is done in a pretty mint green with pink accents. There's a crib for the newborn and a twin bed for the older sister. A window seat features custom window treatments and a Roman shade, a checkerboard rug and cozy seating area for storytelling.
This nook was created by leaving a space between the wall and bookshelf. The space was then filled with a green and white patterned beanbag, custom accessories floating overhead, and model horses. Custom wood wall letters spelling "think" encourage creativity and exploration.
Bold Green and Blue Two-Tone Kids Bedroom With Wood Bunkbeds and Pillow Padded Window Seat
This bold two-tone design is perfect for an energetic and fun kid's bedroom. Green and blue elements are used in every part of the room design from the wall paint to the bed linens. A lime green arm chair pops against the blue rug. Patterned pillows on the bed, chair and window seat bring a cozy plushness to the room.
“We just had fun in here, we have the mossy green walls and we brought in orange for the accent. We found this triptych painting, which was made by a local artist and we are in University of Texas land so people here will understand that is a longhorn which is their mascot,” says interior designer Linda Woodrum.
Transitional Kid's Room With Confetti Comforter and Polka Dot Details
A brightly colored confetti print against a dark background on the bedding in this transitional kid’s bedroom repeats the patterns on the vibrant area rug. Light green walls keep the room feeling playful and young. Bright pink and blue chairs echo the fun rug colors and provide extra seating for activities.
Green Girl's Bedroom With Nature-Inspired Wallpaper
Nature-inspired wallpaper combined with a green and blue striped headboard makes the wall a focal point in this girl's bedroom. The space also features a white Eames rocker and a pair of square windows that bring in natural light.
Pink accents and a line of hanging clothing add a feminine touch to this room, which is tied together by a pink gingham rug. Yellow butterflies and dragonflies throughout the room create a outdoorsy feel.
From the unexpected color scheme of celery, olive, blue-grey, and tangerine, to the clever space planning, this children's room is just as appealing to parents as it is to kids. Varying bold patterns add a playful touch to the space without making the design seem too busy. A wood daybed allows comfortable seating as well as a place for guests to stay overnight.
