Wild Wallpaper on Foam Board Gives Bedroom More Style
A geometric wallpaper was attached to an 8-foot-by-4-foot sheet of foam board and held in place with double-sided tape, then the bedding was updated with solids and patterns in earth tones to give this bedroom more personality and warmth.
Contemporary Bedroom With Red Rose Mural and Bedding
For this master bedroom, HGTV Star contestant Crisermy Mercado's client was very certain of what she wanted, and it could be described in one word: bold. The red roses wall mural is a great way to bring in some sexiness to the room and make a big statement. The saturated red combined with a crisp white bed frame and white cloud light fixture make this bedroom unique and romantic. A soffit with recessed lighting is the final touch to help the space feel warm and inviting.
Black furnishings and men's-wear fabrics pop against walls painted a vibrant cranberry shade in the master bedroom of the HGTV Dream Home 2011. Turn-of-the-century walnut and poplar doors were stripped of paint and repurposed as pocket doors for the room.
Red Master Bedroom with Dog Bed at HGTV Dream Home 2011
In the master bedroom at the 2011 edition of the HGTV Dream Home, black furnishings and menswear fabrics pop against walls painted in a vibrant cranberry shade. The "Doggie Dream Home," a miniature replica of the actual HGTV Dream Home constructed by carpenter David Brown, features space for two small dogs.
Having a daybed can still bring elegance to a room. This white daybed enhances the look of the black velvet bedding and toile-pattern pillows and bed skirt. A bold red wall and fashionista-inspired artwork complete the look. Design by HGTV fan d_fish.
This master bedroom combines contemporary design with warm and neutral tones. The walls are painted a deep red and frame a curtain-covered doorway that opens in to an attached master bathroom. Vanities with mirrors above flank the doorway and a houndstooth armchair finishes the room.
Demilune tables that flank the entrance to this master bathroom provide additional storage space. Mirrored cabinets conceal jewelry, perfume and a flat-panel TV. This ensures the TV isn't the first point of interest upon entering the room.
