The clients, 10-year-old twins, helped designer Alisha Gwen create the fun shape of this custom, blue velvet-clad headboard. In the space, the girls’ favorite hues of blue and purple inspired the palette. Layered patterns and fun furnishings mix to form a tranquil bedroom with equal parts whimsy, function and style.
A fun play closet for a toddler adds a lot of visual punch to a bright nursery. The custom laminate cabinets and shelves carry out the sky orange accent from the soft carpet squares which cover the floor for a cozy play area for a little one.
Blue Boy's Bedroom With Striped Comforter and Yoda Wall Sticker
A little boy needs lots of space to play and plenty of nooks to keep all those toys. This room keeps the middle of the room open for play space with storage around the perimeter. The window sill and wooden desk provide elevated storage and extra work space. A blue accent wall is complemented by a blue area rug and striped red and blue blanket.
Blue and White Contemporary Kid's Room With Geometric Carpet
The geometric print FLOR carpet squares freshen up the design of this fun kid's bedroom. Sconces in each bunk are controlled by individual switches so young occupants can get in late night comic book reading without disturbing nearby sleepers.
The star (and moon) of the room? The beautiful accent wall papered with a whimsical birch forest twinkling with stars and a friendly crescent moon. It's a sweet serene setting that will grow along with Baby.
To the left of the bed, designer Michelle Gage paired a large black-and-white photograph and a wooden bench to create an extra sitting area. Pillows and a blanket make the spot comfy for reading or making phone calls.
