Powder Room with Mixed Patterns
This small powder room has big personality. The floating vanity opens up the space and allows the eye to move easily and enjoy the chic chevron flooring. The wallpaper's vertical pattern moves the eye up which makes the room appear larger. According to designer Susan Jamieson "the wallpaper looks like porcupine quills and is a playful and perfect juxtaposition to the chevron floor. It's really okay to mix patterns in small spaces as long as you create visual balance and keep the eye moving."
A powder room is a great place to create a sense of drama as it is small and intimate and is visited for just a few minutes at a time. The black/white/gray geometric cement tiles continue the theme from the kitchen to bathroom. The pattern in this powder room is a bit different but the flooring adds a bit more drama.
A new take on shiplap was created by having the paneling on the powder room walls in a horizontal and vertical grid pattern for a fresh and modern look. “The paneling is what makes this space,” says project manager Scott Branscom.
Black and White Powder Room With Fornasetti Wallpaper
Braving an unconventional wall pattern — like this wallpaper with signature black and white faces by Piero Fornasetti — is a great way to create a strong impact in a small space. The overall black and white motif in this eclectic powder room is offset by the bold red vanity.
A small bathroom evokes a traditional feel thanks to black-and-white trellis-patterned wallpaper, a vintage-style pendant light and a classic blue framed mirror, which also provides the room's pop of color.
Tree-patterned wallpaper makes a bold statement in this small bathroom. A cluster of hanging globe pendants offers a fun lighting solution in front of the narrow mirror. Black tile surrounds the pedestal sink, breaking up the busy wallpaper pattern.
Powder Room Featuring a Black Tile Wall, Art Deco Mirror and White Bowl Sink
This powder room's got style! An impactful, black, tile wall is a unique and gorgeous for the space. A mirror with an art deco feel is the bathroom's centerpiece. Farmhouse-style vanity fixtures provide ample light, and a vessel-style sink in a floating counter adds classy simplicity.
Black and White Marbled Powder Room With Artistic Petal Chandelier Over Brass Rimmed Mirror
A black ceiling gives a continuous feel to this powder room design. Marbled black and white walls encircle the room for a unique and mysterious look. An artistic modern chandelier with petal-like charms hangs over the mirror. A brass border around the mirror pops against the silver and black tones in the room.
Black subway tiles help shine a spotlight on this powder room's bright turquoise wallpaper decorated with butterflies and moths. The floor sports a bold diamond pattern and a vintage metal washstand and pivot mirror are a nod to the home's historical roots.
This black-and-white powder room features a wall-mounted rectangular sink paired with a floating wooden shelf for storing bathroom essentials. A black accent wall adds a dramatic effect, while two framed black-and-white photographs give the space a touch of artistic flair.
