Designer Jaimie Belew created a custom shower entrance to add interest to this fun and formal master bath. An acrylic console is topped by a fishbowl and cat-themed artwork, adding to the room’s whimsy. An eggplant-colored ceiling makes the high-ceilinged space seem more intimate.
To make the shower look like a wooden "box" from the outside, salvaged wood was cut into strips and stacked around it. The wood was then painted white to help it feel more elegant while still providing some texture to the room.
A black-painted clawfoot tub fits with the character of this historic New York farmhouse, but the sleek black-on-white design of the space is characteristic of its modern renovation. In this updated bathroom, white walls mix with black octagonal tile floors and an unexpected animal hide rug to create an eclectic space with loads of style.
Small Bathroom With Barrel Vanity and Metal-Framed Mirror

Mosaic Tile Wall Art and a Splash of Deep Blue Brings an Ordinary Bath to Life
Homeowner Wendy Chipman couldn't decide on a single style to surround her tub, so she collected various colors of tile that appealed to her. Without a sketch to work from, Wendy created a free-flowing design straight onto the wall. The claw foot tub is painted deep blue inside to coordinate with blue wall tiles, and a custom design on the ceiling offers an object for gazing while relaxing in a hot bath. Not feeling quite as creatively confident as Wendy? Take inspiration from an existing piece art, or a photo from nature, to fashion your own creation.
The reclaimed wood accent wall warms up this white and black bathroom. A frameless glass shower visually expands the narrow space. Black hexagonal floor tiles mirror the matte black ceiling, adding depth and drama to the space.
The homeowners' eclectic style is reflected in this bathroom with the combination of Venetian plaster walls and subway tile. Decorative leaded windows in the shape of a spiderweb help to tie the space to the spiderweb motif throughout the home. The lake house's original vanity and mirror were restored and bring in floral detailing that complements the details found on the bedroom cabinetry, truly tying together all the home's spaces.
Green can look totally fab in the bathroom, whether on mosaic tiles, a freestanding bath or patterned wallpaper. The bold green leaves in this wallpaper work beautifully bringing a summery feel to this bright, light bathroom.
