Master Bathroom Inspired by 1960s Vogue Cover Offers Ultimate in Feminine Appeal
Inspired by 1960s fashion, designer Tineke Triggs created a luxurious retreat for the woman of the home in the En Vogue Salon at the San Francisco Decorator Showcase 2015. Designed around artwork that mimics a cover of Vogue magazine from the era, the bathroom features tile meant to mimic the curves of a couture Givenchy gown, a vanity with brass inlay and a crown-like chandelier.
Expressing Art Deco elegance, over-scaled stencil in gold paint carries up the stairs from the entryway and into the second-floor hallway, creating a dramatic touch of glamour to the otherwise flat tones.
Gray and White Art Deco Dining Room With Velvet Curtain
The setting of this dining room makes any meal feel instantly glamorous. Glass globes hover over the marble table; a gray velvet curtain dresses the window and an antique mirror reflects all that luxury.
Eyes will jump from one gold accent to the next in this living room. The space features many unique features, from the feline statue and atypical banquette shape to the black and white wallpaper design and clever corset lacing on the back of the chair.
A custom art piece was selected in the beginning and became an inspiration piece for the overall color scheme of this boutique. A glass table with a unique base is an easy centerpiece to capture the customer's eye, and mixed patterns and jewel tones help the jewelry stand out.
To really catch the customer's eye, the owner's existing art piece was used as an inspiration for the color palette. Fun and vibrant wallpaper patterns are found throughout the store, and the shimmering gray wallpaper used behind the cashier area was actually used in the 60's.
Glamorous gold polka dots draw the eye upward in this odd-shaped bedroom, helping to elevate the appearance of the ceiling. White walls, white furniture and a window make the small but stylish space feel brighter and larger.
It was important for this boutique to have an inviting and fun experience for shoppers, so a decorative settee was incorporated so guests could be comfortable while shopping. All the molding was added on to give a feminine and Parisian look in a subtle and simple way.
A little pool is always a good idea, especially when it gets to be played in this beauty of a game room on this blue gem of a table! When eight ball is over, retire to the sofa and catch up on favorite flicks.
This glamorous dressing area features a metallic vanity with a glass countertop, silver-trimmed mirror and black-and-white polka dot stool. The curves of the furniture, valance and mannequin add additional feminine touches.
